Recently stayed at Comfort Inn Carowinds to take advantage of the Amusement Park. This is an older hotel and has the old smoke smell in the hallways. Stayed at Comfort Inn Carowinds June 2-5, 2008. This is an excellent middle of the road hotel. The rooms were neat, comfortable, two comfortable double beds with nice 2 pillows per bed. When I got to the hotel, we saw the beautiful lobby. I checked out the rooms before we booked them. The pillows were soft, they had televisions and a refrigerator. Not only that, but I could walk to Carowinds from the hotel! It was the best hotel I've been to by far. A++++++ more

We just returned from a weekend trip to Carowinds. We chose the Comfort Inn because of it's location directly across from the park. Terrible service by management....Varnish smell throughout the hotel...Mildew covered bathroom ceiling..worst experience I have had at a hotel and I travel at least 50 nights a years. more

This was a very nice motel. Clean,new carpet, nice pool, friendly staff. Walking distance to Carrowinds(which saved us $8 parking). Next door to a small mall and Wendys. Will stay again next year. more
