The picture on the website makes it look nice. Wow. It looks nothing like that. Talk about the wrong side of the tracks too. Very run down looking. I cancelled my room upon arriving. To their credit they didn't charge me anything and seemed to have no problem cancelling. more

We originally booked this hotel under the "choice hotels" group.. when it was Econolodge, many months before travelling. A number of months ago I received an email from the choice hotels group indicating that this particular hotel was no longer a member of their group, no reason given... I guess I should have known something was wrong then, however, I... more

This place was the biggest piece of [----]. The carpets I think at one time were green(about 30 years ago), but now take on a fine shade of dirt and sticky scum. I was affraid to take off my shoes. The beds I think were two boxed springs stack on top of each other with a bed cover that needed... more

If this is the only motel you can stay at while staying in Florence, then I guess it will have to do. Otherwise, find something else. The rooms were aboslutely horrible. It was so bad I wore my flip flops the whole time. Upon walking into the room, the area around the door was completely black from the dirt/mud that... more

We were traveling on a budget and I guess you really do get what you pay for. The room itself had an awlful musty smell that about knocked you down upon entering the room and the carpets were absolutely filthy. I did not ever want to use the bathroom to shower as I was afraid to put my bare foot... more

It is usually my habit to forward emails, letters, and other correspondence of praise. Unfortunately, this is not one of those occasions. On Friday, June 30, 2006, while returning north from a Florida vacation, my wife and I decided to take advantage of our AAA membership for a discounted rate at one of their facilities. Our calculations led us to... more

We stayed here on our way to Orlando, and our way back from Orlando (because our first stay was pretty good). On our first stay, the place was nice. I did notice however, that the place seemed very dated and could use some renovation as it seemed run down. I saw no bugs (like a previous reply stated), but did... more

Stayed here for one night while meeting friends who were on their way to Florida. Rate was fantastic, front desk staff professional, housekeeping delivered something I requested within 5 mins. Room was clean, I saw NO bugs. Channel choices on TV were endless. Only reason I didn't give this an above average is due the gathering of 5 or 6... more

This was my first stay at an Econo Lodge and was very pleasant. The hotel staff, particularly Wanda, were friendly and cheerful. The room was spartan and furniture was a little worn, but very clean. The verry warm indoor pool and big hot tub are about the best in Florence. And the price was unbeatable. more

We pulled into this dump after driving for many hours from Orlando,FL. We choose this place because of the indoor pool. Trust me when I say it was not worth this experience. We checked in and went to our room. Where there were a lot of very shady people standing near our doorway. We then entered the room. My five... more
