We had booked a room in Hilton Head for a few days during July 4th week and couldn't enjoy the beach there because it was so crowded. We had camped here in July 2014 for a week and absolutely LOVED it. Remembering the lack of crowds and the great shelling this beach had to offer, we packed a cooler, grabbed... More

Have camped all over the Carolina's, I love camping here!! Friendly staff, clean facilities, and quiet secluded sites. Will come back again and again.. Love having beach access without paying for it!! Not much to do in Edisto which makes it all the better

Stayed in site 1 at the beach campground in a tent for 2 nights. It was a very secluded site, private and quiet. The ocean is actually over the dunes and behind the site, but we could hear the waves at night, which was peaceful. This island is still somewhat undeveloped, so there are no big attractions and not a... More

I booked our stay at this campground in 2014 when I had a smaller travel trailer. Without realizing the size of the site when we arrived and tried to park the new TT the site was too small. The staff was very accommodating and located another site.

I'm usually a bit thrifty, but when it comes to this beach, I choose to pay. It's worth having bathroom access and a fantastic shaded picnic area. The oaks are a signature feel for a traditional South Carolina. The beach itself is perfect for our family. Not to much distance between our tented spot and the actual surf. Which there... More

We stayed at the Edisto Beach State Park Campground for 4 nights in our pop up camper. We were in site #81 in the Live Oaks section, which was very private, quiet and shady. Our site had electric and water hookups, but no cable. The bathrooms/showers were very close to our site. They were clean in the morning, so we... More

This was our second year camping in the live oaks part of the grounds and they are always very nice. The only issues that kept me from giving 5 stars was the bathrooms could have been kept a little better, they were pretty clean but ran out of soap and toilet paper on sunday and I'm high maintenence, and the... We spent 3 nights here in April. We stayed at one of the sites near the beach and loved the convenience of having the beach path right next to our site. The facilities were all very clean and well cared for and the site was conveniently equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The beach is very pretty and... More

Nice, roomy sites. Big and fairly clean bath house with OK showers. Friendly staff at check in. Live Oak is 1/2 mile to beach. Gorgeous beach. Camping is pricey, but then its the location. Love South Carolina Parks. Good way to see the state.

Firstly, there are several parts to Edisto Beach SP. There are two completely separated campgrounds - Live Oak and Beach Front. Plus there is a rustic tent area and a cabin area. So read reviews carefully to know which part folks are talking about. We stayed in Live Oak, off the main highway into the island and NOT beach front,... More
