I fell in love with Mount Edge as soon as I saw it. Love how the cabins have their own names & beautiful view to all the surroundings. Roost cabin was so nice you could hear the river roaring below during a nights sleep. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Loved the rustic elements of the cabin & bathroom. I will... More

We spent a day with the Mount Edge family, taking a bicycle tour through the Blue Mountains and eating some of the best food I've had anywhere. When most people think of Jamaica, they think of beaches - but it was the mountains that caught our eyes when we looked out from our hotel room in Kingston. If we had... More

We had one day off during a recent 'work vacation' in Kingston and hoped to see something beyond the downtown sights. I found a link on the web for bike tours from Mount Edge and called up at the last minute not really expecting much. But the Fox family made everything happen - with virtually no effort on our part.... More

I just got back from a fabulous stay at Mount Edge. Not sure where to begin and haven't come to terms with the fact I have left :/. One day is NOT enough. Went with some friends to get out of Kingston for a day and it was just what we needed. First off, Robyn is delightful ( owners daughter)... More

What an amazing place ... the setting, the property, the views, the bamboo beds and most of all the characters!!! Thank you so much. Like many others I stayed much longer than expected enjoying the views over Kingston, the crazy road up to Newcastle and down to Redlight, the flowers everywhere. Lots of love to Fox family and friends! See... More

Mount Edge is one of the best guest houses I've stayed in the world. The owner's daughter offered to pick up my friend and me from Kingston for an affordable amount. The guest house itself has a beautiful view. The chef cooked delectable meals from ingredients from the nearby organic garden. Oh, and the view was spectacular!

It's 5am and I'm sat on the veranda with Yam, Robin's new puppy. The only sound is the river below and the jungle all around. If you're after action then move on, if you're searching for culture, laid back people & vibes and some of the best views in all Jamaica then you have arrived! Rooms are shabby certainly but... More

Mount Edge is a collection of wooden cottages hooked on the side of the hill, up in the blue mountains 40mn from Papine, Kingston. The view is breathtaking. They are very welcoming and nice people, and the food is so good. A very special place that shouldn't be missed !

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mount Edge with one exception. The bathroom in my little cabin was not what I consider acceptable. The shower is also the bathroom floor and the sink was barely acceptable. I didn't want to walk in the bathroom until the floor dried from the shower. Small renovation would make that bathroom much more tourist... More

I don't think Mount Edge is especially addressed to backpackers, but they arranged something for me, a solo female traveler in Jamaica during the off-season, for a very good price. The place is stunning, the panorama breathtaking, the food very tasty (some of the best I had in 3 weeks), the room was super clean, and the semi outdoor bathroom... More
