I stayed here with a large cheerleading group for two nights. The rooms, lobby and breakfast area were all nice and clean. Our room overlooked the USC Campus and was nice but small. The noise is a problem for this hotel because it is located on Assembly street which is a very busy street in Columbia. The parking is a... more

OLD Building that has no insulation (concrete structure) worst night of sleep in my life, Breakfast was aweful and parking is terrible, got my car dented up because the spaces are so small. Wont ever stay there again- word to the wish, stay out of... more

we were in town for a funeral. I don't have any complaints, our stay was very enjoyable (considering the circumstances). front staff and maids very courteous and helpful. wonderful hot breakfast you can smell from the elevator :) must mention the beds, oh my, we were exhausted from a day of flying and thankfully had a very peaceful sleep on... more

We stayed at this hotel for the USC v. LSU football game. It was about a 15 minute walk to the stadium. We paid $10.00 to park our car in the hotel parking garage. If you want to park near the stadium on the day of the game, you are looking at paying atleast $20.00. Check in was very easy... more

Booked this room on Priceline (name your price) for about $60. The room was very clean, very comfortable. HOWEVER, beware--because this is in downtown Columbia, they charge you $10 in addition to the room rate for parking in their structure. And you're stuck with that option 'cause there's really nowhere else to park. I will say the clerks at the... more

My wife was a bit skeptical about staying at this hotel because back in the 80's, when she was a student at Carolina, the hotel was owned by the university and used as a training facility for the hospitality management program. Back then the place was a complete dump. I talked her into staying there this weekend based on positive... more

This hotel has nice rooms, pleasant staff and quick room service. They have a beautiful pool with a fireplace outside. The outdoor furniture was not plastic. THe workout room was top notch complete with your own TV and chilled towels. FREE internet in every room. Cookies made fresh every evening. The only negatice was the view in the back of... more

Stayed three nights. Hotel is very nice, everything is like new, it is newly renovated and it feels new. The location was great, it was an easy walk to the University of South Carolina which is why we were there. The staff was very friendly and the room was great. It had free internet, we had our laptop so we... more

I regularly stay at Marriot Courtyards while on business trips. While this hotel had great public areas (very attractive lobby) and the rooms are renovated and comfortable, they have very substandard food service. On my first night in he hotel, I ordered room service for dinner. After taking an hour for it to arrive, the food was terrible and tasted... more

We stayed one night in this hotel and had no major issues. They do charge you to park in THEIR garage though which is kind of odd and a pretty steep charge on top of your room charge. One elevator in the hotel was out and the other one was very slow. Parking garage was very small would not recommend... more
