We traveled to Ft Jackson to see our son graduate basic training. Before I booked the motel i read many reviews. Rodeway Inn and Suites seemed to have great reviews and it was fairly close to the base. We got a room with two double beds non smoking. The room was extremely small. We were passing through Columbia and needed to find accommodations for one night. Based largely on the reviews in Tripadvisor, we picked the Rodeway Inn and made reservations on-line. The $49/night price also helped. The room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable - all that we expected. We ate dinner at the Lizard's Thicket restaurant next door... more
This Rodeway used to be Liberty Inn, and it was then a real dump. However, it is now quite nice, totally redone, located in a quiet residential area with a excellent family restaurant next door.
