First stay at this hotel while son deciding if he wants to attend USC - the answer was yes, so we'll be returning. Easy walking distance to USC and great on sight restaurant. Rooms a little quirky but nice.

Dear Virginiahome64, We are delighted to welcome you to the Gamecock family and happy you will be with us the next four years! Each and every room is decorated differently. This is one of the many elements to make our hotel so unique from the others in the area. Feel free to ask the concierge to let you see other... More

Very comfortable and good sized room in a delightfully up-dated historical building. Best location to choose if hitting the shops, delis, pubs, clubs and coffee houses in Five Points is your goal. Nice touch: breakfast is delivered to your room at a time of your choosing. Afternoon wine and cheese service another gracious touch. Actually, we had a glass of wine... More

The Inn At Claussens has several unique touches: each room has a different decor with attached, quaint outdoor patios; complimentary continental breakfast is of high quality, (including the coffee!) and is delivered to room. There is also a complimentary wine and cheese reception each evening in their comfortable living room area off of lobby...and an extra bonus is their accommodating... More

I love this place overall -- staff is super friendly & the location is terrific. So let's do the "best" first, shall we? The building is on the National Register of Historic Places; so some of the inconveniences have to be overlooked because of the incredible charm. Not having an elevator is overcome by knowing where the park in order... More

The accommodations were wonderful, as were the people that work there. Particularly Allison and Eric. You have a choice of breakfast in the lobby or brought to your room, as well as delicious choices for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay!

What a wonderful and beautiful place to stay. Each room has different décor, which creates such beautiful character. The entire staff was so friendly and extremely helpful. Great restaurants are on the other side of the hotel, so the location couldn't be better. What a fabulous place to stay! I will stay at the inn, each time I come into... More

The Inn at Claussen's was a nice change. The location was EVERYTHING. This was the main reason that I chose this spot. Everything that you need or want is in walking distance. My partner and I stayed for Valentine's Day. I purchased the special that the Inn was offering for that weekend, which included my choice of wine or champagne... More

When I was a child growing up in Columbia, we used to visit the Claussen's Bakery. So nearly 10 years ago, I was excited to see that it had been converted into a hotel. We have stayed there several times since 1997 and it is always a fun experience. The rooms are all different and nicely decorated, provide all the... More

I was in the area with my daughter. We were there to visit USC, which is right around the corner. The Inn was very quaint. The rooms very nice and clean. They deliver breakfast to your room in the morning, just fill out a card and leave it on the door. It was delivered in very timely manner. The staff... More

The Inn was lovely. Well appointed rooms with patios. Unfortunately it is located in the wrong place, literally right next to RR tracks. I provide only a 3 star due to what we paid and the annoyance of the trains.
