Hotel was not clean nor comfortable. Was in area for vacation stayed for only one of the two nights reserved. Room was dirty and had ants. Most horrible part was the beds. Wingate definitely need to invest in beds and better services. Was moved from room with ants and no air to room with mold in air unit and dirty... more

I just recently returned from a trip to Columbia, where I was visiting my daughter at the University of South Carolina. I chose this hotel partially based on reviews and partially on the location. I was happy with the hotel as far as location is concerned because it was a short drive to downtown, but had a lot of activities... more

I've stayed at this and many other Wingate Inns in the southeast, and there is no consistency in service. While one location may be excellent, another can be absolutely horrendous. This location fell somewhere in the middle, on my last stay there. Compared to past experiences there, the customer service is slipping in some areas. Not sure if there has... more

This was a quality hotel for a last-minute trip to South Carolina for an unfortunate death in the family. We got excellent quality for a great price and I highly recommend the hot breakfast. We stayed two nights and had no problems at all. more

larger than average room with a king size bed which was pretty comfortable. Walked in and didn't immediately freeze to death--air was properly set. Good shower head--all the settings worked. Plenty of hot water and pressure. Room was right near the elevator but didn't hear the elevator chime most of the time. Did hear some footsteps, but couldn't tell if... more

It has been years since I stayed at a Wingate, but I've seen them in more places recently so I decided to try this one out based on a suggestion/recommendation from a co-worker. This appears to be either new, or newly remodeled. Everything seemed to be clean and new. The area seemed to be very nice around the hotel so... more

I've stayed here a few times over the last year for work and it is a pretty average experience everytime. There is often some kind of screw up with the front desk and its always slow to be resolved. Recently they booked someone into my room during the second day of my two night stay (the guy showed up trying... more

Woke up to bed bugs crawling all over my arm. Scary, let me tell you! The lady manager (Carol) has no tact with people. Before I brought this problem to her attention I watched her inability to be polite with guests just having a question about directions. I decided to leave them with their bugs and just go. I hope... more

I made advance reservations, due to Masters week in Augusta for non-smoking double beds. I check-in at 9:00 pm and received a handicap room. I returned to the front desk and asked for a non-handicap room. I was told that I requested a handicap room and the hotel was full. First, my confirmation was not for a handicap room. And... more

I picked this hotel for a weekend stay because it was the highest rated in the area. I have stayed at two other hotels on Harbison and was pleased with them, but decided to take a chance with this one. The room was OK, nothing special. I will have to say that the king size bed was horrible. The pillows... more
