Nice Hampton, perfect location in downtown area. They offer an evening reception with appetizers, beer and wine. The building looks historic but it feels new. I'll stay there again if given the opportunity.

We selected this Hampton Inn based on it's convenient location to two tennis venues where my son would be playing during a tournament. The front desk staff were very friendly, quick to the task and helpful. The room was very clean and the beds and room comfortable with the exception that the AC unit was very loud and did cool... The absolutely worst experience I have ever had. When I pulled back the comforter back I observed first pieces of a roach's body. After continuing to pull the sheet down, other body parts appeared. There was also a dead roach in the bathroom on the floor. Did the housekeeping staff making the bed not see this, disgusting/horrible/aweful/unsanitary.

Location wise very good considering the many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The entrance is from the side street if you have a car. OK breakfast. Overall, they really do live up to the Hampton brand.

Great hotel if you want the experience of downtown Columbia. This is the hotel to stay. Access to all dining within walking distance, gated parking is a plus even though you have to pay extra for it but worth it. At times the noise was a little distracting due to doors being open and shut by other guest. Overall its... More

Overall a great place to stay. Rooms are nice and quiet, parking is free in the back of the hotel, and the breakfast selection is varied enough to please everyone. Location is awesome as well, as you can easily walk to several restaurants and leave your car parked. Staff is friendly and eager to assist with anything you may need.

This is a lovely hotel right in the heart of the Vista area of Columbia - and an easy walk to/from the campus of USC. It is a lot nicer than the average Hampton on the outside - has an almost historic feel to it. Inside it's very nice, and comfortable. Rooms look like most other Hamptons, and the breakfast... More

Hampton is a great a hotel. The prices are reasonable for the area and they demand a standard for their customers. Nevertheless by chance, I did not enjoy my stay this time due to the uncontrolled ringing of the fire alarms. There was only one unfriendly desk agent. I did not feel welcome or was I greeted as an honor... More

I was here to drop off my daughter at USC and the location was perfect. There is a great range of restaurants nearby, the river walk isn't far away and the USC campus is a 5-10 minute walk. Hotel rooms were generous and clean, modern and had all we needed. There was a pool though we didn't use it, staff... More

Great place to stay due to it's location, especially if your planning to go out to eat. SOOOO many choices are just a short walk away. This hotel is quiet, clean, comfortable, and has free FULL breakfast. Only negative is that the complimentary WiFi is very slow.
