High value and quality 'trimmings'! Centrally located in Columbia, very quiet and impressively appointed room. Fitness Center offers minimal equipment, but it's still serviceable. Ample and tasty hot/cold breakfast buffet includes eggs, sausage patties, bisquits, fresh fruit, lite yogurt, make your own waffles and flowing hot coffee. Staff bent over backwards to ensure satisfaction. Same experience in Colorado! more

After a very long day driving, the front desk gentleman was absolutely refreshing to our souls!!!!!!!!!!! He could not have been kinder or more pleasant if he tried. I do not know where you found him but please look there again and again, one cannot have too many employees like him!!!!!!!!!!! more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel one night on our way through to Savannah. I had never stayed at a Hampton Inn prior but based on my experience with this one I now check out the Hampton first whenever we are on the road. The hotel was very clean, service was professional and the location was excellent with... more

Stayed because of a mini convention at the expo center next door. Well appointed rooms etc. Be prepared for noise on the weekends-this is a college town! My first issue is the keyboard internet. I had no clue how to get on this time. The clueless night manager kept saying "click under movies." I DID and no internet. Must be... more

Short And Sweet...... Excellent Location (everything within walking distance). Comfortable Beds. Excellent Service. Standard Hampton Breakfast (that is kept very well filled). Clean Rooms. Great Water Pressure. EZ, ample, and free parking. CONSISTENT! (I stay here about twice/month on business). (It's time to update the gym equipment - but because of the excellent service and consistency they still get a... more

A friend and I went to Columbia for the SC Book Festival. We decided on the Hampton Inn because it was right across a side street from the Festival. It turned out to be a good choice - free parking, substantial hot breakfast included, great chocolate chip cookies in the evenings, bag breakfasts of fruit, granola bars and bottled water... more

The hotel is located in an historic district that offers restaurants and shops to suit every taste. It offers what other Hampton Inns also offer (and what makes this one my favorite hotel chains): clean modern rooms, free Internet, comfy beds, decent breakfast included in the price, hot tea and coffee all day long, apples and cookies, etc. But what... more

I can break this down pretty quick. Great location - next to plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. They have a happy hour - free beer and egg rolls! A wonderful surprise after our drive from Charlotte. Free Breakfast. Room was slightly small but appeared to be clean. Service was good - one guy gave us bad directions to a... more

I travel often to Columbia and have stayed at many different hotels and none compare to the hospitality, cleanliness and location of the Downtown Hampton. It is located in the middle of anything and everything within a short walk and the staff is outstanding. I recommend this hotel to everyone. more

This property is in a great location. It's in Columbia's Historic District, close to the University of South Carolina, South Carolina Capital and a short walk to several great resturaunts. If your visting the university or working close by, save your money on a car rental, everything you need is within walking distance. The hotel is clean, the staff is... more
