I'm sure this was a great place to stay at one time as far as weekly rates that's mostly for duke power outtage work like I am involved in but time and poor upkeep has left this hotel in bad shape heat and air is old and so is TV wallpaper is shifty and falling down price isn't compatible with... This hotel is in need of a serious make-over. The staff are as helpful and as nice as they can be, but the hotel is a dump. Wall paper is falling off the walls, the carpet is worn and old. Of the two elevators I know that only one of them has worked for quite a while. Ya just don't... More

Old and in disrepair. Carpet in room gross with numerous burn marks (complete iron burn mark). Dresser drawer fell out when opened. Room thermostat apparently broken. Set to below 60 yet room way too hot. Coffee in morning barely hot and grinds in every cup. 2nd day of stay no linen and towel service. Stay away. Pathetic excuse for a... More

It may be a great location and low weekend rates for a game weekend, but the place is looking long overdue for some R&R- refurb and renewal. The pillows were awful- they had to be about 20 years old and heavy nasty things and this the one trip we did not bring our own. Wall paper (second layer) was peeling... More

Words cannot even describe how terrible this hotel is. Walking in, you can see that the hotel has been left is disrepair. The carpet is ripped and held together with duck tape, and the wallpaper is pealing off the walls. There are water stains on the walls and ceiling and everything is very outdated and dirty looking. We checked in... More

I don't really understand why there is so many negative reviews for this hotel. We stayed there for homecoming and the hotel was fine. Yes it's quite outdated but the price is very reasonable. The room we had was big and clean, the maid service was good. The shower was clean, warm and had good pressure. The WiFi worked fine... More

This place was so scary looking from the outside and filthy on the inside! I don't know where they took the pictures that are on the website, but I don't think they are from this hotel. Their sign out front said, "Weekly Rentals", need I say more? The banquet center part seems to be boarded up on the outside. We... More

I had an emergency come up 2 weeks before I was scheduled to stay at University Inn. I called and spoke with the manager, who was understanding of my situation and worked with me, which was a huge relief. I have stayed there in the past (fall of 2013) and it was convenient walking distance to downtown and to the... More

While checking in our car was broken into and a brand new phone was taken. The entire hotel is outdated in need of major cleaning. The halls, elevator and rooms smelled like smoke. The room number was made by marker on the door frame. Several times during the night we were awaken by doors slamming and people yelling in the... More

This was the only hotel in Clemson that did not cost at least 200.00 per night. We moved our son back up to school this weekend. The room was clean and bathroom looked like it had been renovated. The breakfast was not bad for a continental breakfast. Had a few different options. We will stay there again when we go... More
