My wife and I stayed at this hotel to enjoy the downtown experience in a historic hotel. In that regard we got what we were looking for. Several people reviewed this location as a bed and breakfast (B&B) which if that was the case (in my mind) it would have fallen very short. It was kind of a cross between... More

Had a wonderful four day stay at this location. Excellent service in a prime location. Received a free upgrade with a private balcony. Great breakfast in the am and a lovely wine reception every afternoon.

The Meeting Street Inn on (where else) Meeting Street combines the best of antebellum charm with up to date service. This great little hotel in the middle of old, downtown Charleston has not only a free happy hour, but a really good continental breakfast as well. The rooms had that old south charm (hard wood floors, canopied beds) that just... More

I can't say enough about the staff. My sister and I left at night to walk 3 blocks for a meal. Staff ran out and gave us their card in case we had any problem. One call and they would come for us. Talk about feeling secure! So comforting. Located in the heart of the historic district. Can walk to... More

This historic property appears to be held together mainly by the earthquake bolts that run between its stories. [If you are not familiar with this, the large iron rosettes that you see on the exteriors between the stories of historic buildings in Charleston are actually the end caps of huge bolts that run through to the other side of the... You can't beat the location...right in the center of town and minutes from numerous restaurants, the market and the cruise ship. Hotel and rooms had lots of charm. You must be ready for an historic experience though. No views except from front rooms. Charming in an old-fashioned way. Wonderful breakfast included as was wine and cheese at 5 pm. A... More

This is a charming inn in the heart of the market area. An extended Charleston single house, it has an interesting history. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. The lobby doubles as breakfast area, sitting room, and wine and cheese reception area in the evening. There is also a lovely outdoor seating area with a fountain. The rooms are... More

We made arrangements at the last minute based on TA reviews. The Meeting Street Inn is an historic place in the style of a Charleston Single home but is in need of fixing up, some of which was in process. It's also categorized as a B&B but is more in the style of the Days Inn next to it, except... More

We have enjoyed the charm, location, and hospitality of this hotel for over 6 years. I'm afraid we will not be back unless there are some changes made. 1. The rooms are tired and need some updating and refreshed linens. Also it does not appear any vacuuming has occurred under the beds, behind furniture for quite some time. One wall... More

Not a bad stay, it's a historic place that time has passed by a wee bit, but still very cute. Read: owner is overdue springing for a needed facelift. The staff is, however, the best. They made us feel at home and could not have been more accommodating. Loved the porch and the lobby is a comfortable gathering place. Breakfast... More
