My wife and I had scheduled a weekend in Charleston and wanted to stay in the city. I researched Inns and traditional hotels through Trip Advisor. All of the great things that subscribers have said are true! Nice large room, very walkable to the Marketplace, very friendly and helpful hosts, parking, and in an area of great restaurants. thanks to... More

The moment you pull up to the curb you know you are welcome. When you walk through the doors you step back in time. The staff is helpful, kind, and more than willing to provide a great experience. Breakfast is wonderful with delicious eggs, breads, cereals, fruit, and more... We especially loved the late afternoon wine and cheese in the lovely courtyard. You will... More

Great location, pretty rooms, lovely little courtyard, friendly and helpful service, good breakfast and added bonus of 5pm 'wine and cheese hour'. Will definitely recommend and return. Thanks for a great stay!

This was a great location for the Center of Charleston's historic district. The Inn/ B&B was a trip back into Historical Charleston with modern accommodations and some period furniture. Only a half block from the start of the Market and easy walking distance to some of the better known and quality restaurants in Charleston, makes this an ideal location. Parking... More

What a quaint place--they use real keys, the older style and they have little mailboxes for each room. Staff was so friendly upon check-in. Like most hotels in Charleston parking is a couple of blocks away but they told us that when making the reservation. Our room is very cute--Canopied bed, all the fabrics match the wallpaper. Bed is tall... More

My wife and I, and friends, have stayed here many times. As others have emphasized, the location is very good for main downtown Charleston attractions. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable, although showing some age, as is the entire property. But they are kept clean, attractive, and functional. It feels more like an historic inn than a motel. The... More

We stayed here for 4 days in May 2014. Loved the charm and feel of this place. Room was clean and cozy. If it wasn't for the amenities (fridge,tv, air conditioning) you would think you've gone back in time, just beautiful. Bathroom was also clean. The staff were friendly and really seemed to care about our needs. The courtyard was... More

This was a perfect location and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and Victorian style. We loved how our room walked onto the adorable brick patio. Breakfast was delicious with a lot more to choose from than we had expected. In the afternoon, they offered an hour of wine, cheese and crackers and fresh fruit... More

Decided to book a room here after reading the reviews...We were not disappointed at all...The room was very nice and we found it to be period correct for the historic district..the bed was beyond comfy and the turn-down service was a plus. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The breakfast was everything you could ask for, loved the tea,... More

I love the location. Only blocks away from the Downtown Charleston area, including the market. The staff were extremely accommodating and knowledgable of the area. The rooms were very nice and were truly southern. Additionally, the breakfast had very fresh fruit.
