loved this place. It is clean. Deco is wonderful and staffs are incredible. Start with great and casual breakfast in terrace. just about all rooms has its private balconies. A/C works VERY well. Close to everything. End day with complimentary wine and hour d'oeuvre and live music!! We hated to leave. more

We stayed in a single on the 4th floor - next time, I'll reserve a double which has its own little veranda accessed through pretty French doors. The service was excellent, the rooms clean and nicely appointed. Bathroom was old but not vintage, but was comfortable and efficient. The outdoor porch area on the ground floor (called the Piazza) was... more

Every January we go to Charleston on business. Actually we're really going to Charleston on a post-Christmas break, the business part is just the excuse. Every year but one we've stayed at the Meeting Street Inn, after that year we came rushing back and have never strayed again! We make our reservations for the next year when we check out... more

My family and I stayed at the Inn over Christmas for 2 days!!..I fell in love with the charm and ambiance of the old charleston style decor. I felt like i had gone back in time. Like a Norman Rockwell picture. We met several repeat yearly guests at b'fast and then again at the wine and cheese hour. The rooms... more

We only stayed one night - left the room around 10:00 that morning to walk around, returned around 11:30 to find our bed stripped, door wide open and my fur vest taken. Call downstairs to report this and was told that I would receive a return call -- never did. I found the maid walking around and told her about... more

This was our second stay at the Inn. Each time they have not lived up to their standards. Turn down service is only for the first night, I can't figure that one out. Rates are nothing special, although they make you think you are really getting a deal. Breakfast is usually cold. Rooms in bad need of dusting, burnt out... more

We have just returned from a 3-day stay at The Meeting Street Inn. From beginning to end, every detail of our stay was perfect. The staff were all extremely accommodating. Although we had never been there before, if we had picked our room, it could not have been better. Room 109 is on the ground floor, two lovely canopy Queen... more

We went here for a girl's getaway and had a wonderful time. The location couldn't be better. Once you park your car you can leave it and walk to almost everything in Charleston. It never took more than 10 minutes to walk anywhere in the historic district from the hotel. The rooms were small and dark, but pretty. The beds... more

We stayed at The Meeting Street Inn for a weekend and enjoyed out stay. The location is within walking distance of the historic sections of Charleston. The service was very good and we would stay there again. more

Although the location was ideal, the hotel was not. The lobby smelled musty, our deluxe queen room had peeling wallpaper, and the "breakfast "was a joke. Luckily there are some nice breakfast cafes next door. more
