Stayed during the Memorial Day weekend. The location is perfect between King and Meeting street. We have almost every top restaurant near us and really good shopping. One of my favorite features was listening to the church bells on the hour. The hotel itself was clean with a very good staff. The breakfast and cocktail reception were both welcome occurrences... With free happy hour and made to order breakfast this is a good value, however the rooms are worn and dark - definitely do not want to spend alot of time there. Ours had a brick wall in the bedroom with a window so high up in the wall you could not see out. Also there is construction going on... More

Had an excellent experience at this hotel......from check-in to departure it was first class! It was our 25th wedding anniversary and were so pleased with the little extras they did for us that they certainly didn't have to do. Quite a memorable experience. Had a great, super- clean room overlooking the Park on the third floor. Everyone was so friendly... More

This hotel is in a great, central location, just a block from the Visitor's Center, from which the city and plantation tours depart. The usual Embassy breakfast and hospitality. The hotel is within walking distance to the local attractions, shops and restaurants. Just one block from King Street and about a 15-minute walk to the waterfront area (more shopping and... More

Dead fly and LIVE spider on the window sill. Peeling paint. Mildew in the shower. Unable to send someone to clean it even when I specifically asked. Shower didn't work. Staff was friendly but poorly trained. I left our room service dishes outside our room before heading to an 8PM show. They were still siting on the floor at 9am... More

We travel to Charleston annually and this is by far our favorite hotel! Can't beat an Embassy with 2 room suites, made to order breakfast, cocktails and snacks daily, and the staff is great especially the breakfast staff! See you next year....

You will not know your were at a chain given the uniqueness. of the property. Bell staff was great and property is incredible. It is a bit of a walk to market and king but plus side is out of the chaos. It is perfect for families. Out of the 4 we have stayed downtown it is a go.to for... More

In Charleston nowadays, the two pulls are the Upper King new restaurants and new development versus the established lower King with its many great restaurants and historic building. Almost at the midway point between the two is Marion Square, where the weekend farmer's market is held, and directly adjacent to Marion Square is the Embassy Suites! It is a comfortable... More

This hotel has a great breakfast buffet and evening reception. The breakfast included made to order omelets, eggs, etc. It was very good, plus the staff went above and beyond my expectations. The evening reception lasted 2 hours which is longer than most. I was pleasantly surprised. Cory at the front desk and Lily the concierge were both extremely helpful.... More

We highly recommend this hotel. We stay here as a first choice when visiting historic Charleston. This time, we were there for college graduation therefore the location was very convenient. Comfortable room, welcoming staff, helpful bellmen and the breakfast buffet and service were quite good. Thanks, Embassy, we'll be back
