We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Charleston over Labor Day weekend. When we travel with our adult daughter we always book a one bedroom suite so Embassy Suites seemed like a good choice. And even though this particular property is not an all-suite hotel because it is the conversion of a very historic building, we got a lovely corner... More

Yes, this is an Embassy Suite, but with a historic twist. We liked the ambiance of the place--it was better than the typical cookie cutter ES. Rooms were very acceptable--yes, some unique shapes and sizes due to the conversion of this historic building, but our suite was very nice and quite acceptable to us. The breakfast was very good--nice omelette... More

We liked the location, in the heart of the historic district. If you need the space of 2 beds and a separate livingroom with a sleeping sofa, this is the place for you. Our room was on the first floor with no natural light or view to outside, but also dim, poor lighting inside. No towel rack in bathroom and... More

From our arrival, we experienced great customer service indicative of a top rated hotel! My sister and I chose the Embassy based on location, on the edge of the hustle and bustle to avoid late night noise, and the beautiful view of the park next door. The free trolley pick up being just across the street was the added plus.... More

I was a Charleston local, now I just pass thru. This is my second stay. I really felt welcomed. The valet and front desk were superb. The lobby is beautiful. Even though it isn't cheap, I felt the service justified the cost. Location is great for visitors. They sorted a cab out for ten with no issue. They also got... More

It is Charleston. Older city with a wonderful history. Hotel is an old building with so much history and honestly a sanctuary in the middle of all the busyness. 5 in one room, teenagers that is, is never simple since we were on tour and over 2 weeks in hotels. This hotel met our expectations. Breakfast is busy but they... More

When in Charleston, we usually stay in the Doubletree which is also a great hotel and closer in to the historic district. This property used to be part of the Citadel, the military academy. But outside of a small plaque and two huge doors that are used to close up the main area, you would not know it. This being... More

We stayed for two nights in August. Many restaurants and eating places were in a walking distance. Our room came with a jacuzzi and had high ceilings. The high ceilings were fine but It took a while for it to cool down for the night. We enjoyed the breakfast and reception with drinks in the evenings. The Mynt is a... More

The big problem here is failure to inform. I gave them one star because it appears to have been intentional. When I travel I look for lodging where I can see my surroundings. I like to see the sunsets, sunrises, city lights or landscape etc. I also like to be able to wake up to natural light, which eliminates any... More
