My wife and I visited Charleston for the 4th. I didn't really know what to expect from the hotel except for the pictures on the website. I stayed in a corner room on the 4th floor with a balcony. A must if it's your first time here. The atrium was fantastic and looking out you can get a glimpse of... more

I stayed at the Embassy Suites with a group of girlfriends this past weekend. The location is great - right in the middle of everything so that we didn't need a car. The free breakfast was great -- tons of food to choose from. We also took advantage of the 2 hour complimentary happy hour. What really impressed me about... more

Spent 3 nights & 2 days @ this hotel & really enjoyed our stay. Staying in a beautiful, modern hotel, that used to be the Citadel, really added to our vacation experience. Hotel is within 10-15 minutes walk of city & marketplace, is 5-10 minute walk to Ft. Sumpter ferry, and less than 5 minue walk to visitor center, where... more

My wife and I plus two adult children spent two days here. The building is the original Citadel site and is one mile from the harbor point in Historic Charleston so if you can walk two miles round trip everything in historic Charleston is within each. With parking and taxes, I paid about $275 a night. For that you get... more

The service at Embassy Suites was excellent! They arranged for transportation to and from the airport through Mitch. Mitch's service is top notch and he is willing to discount transportation for students and groups. As I arrived early in the morning, the front desk was willing to hold my bags and coat behind the counter until a room was ready.... more

I stayed at the Embassy Suites while on a 2-week business trip to Charleston. It is a clean, full-service hotel in a great location. The staff was friendly and made me feel at home. The hotel is located in the old Citadel building right near the Visitor's Center and on Marion Square. There are plenty of restaurant options, as well... more

Our family stayed one night at this Embassy Suites, the following night we stayed at another Embassy Suites in Columbia, SC. This one in Charleston was okay. We checked in and went to our room and after requesting a high floor found ourselves on the first floor, then when we went in the rug was badly stained, just didn't feel... more

I stayed here for one night in March with my college aged kids. I booked this hotel using Hilton points and I am glad to have stayed here. I visited Charleston this summer and decided to save my points stay until I needed more room. We had a room on the top floor with 2 beds plus the sofa bed.... more

I just returned from the Embassy Suites in Charleston and was very disappointed in the hotel. The reservation was made for a non-smoking two-room suite with two queen beds. However, when we arrived that was not available. They gave us a room with one queen bed, and a pull out sofa bed FOR THE SAME EXACT PRICE. I had to... more
