First trip to Charleston with myself and 2 brothers - My brother got lower rate with 1/2 price discount book that the hotel honored. Free Day-time breakfast is only 6-9 on weekdays and 7-10 on weekends. Stayed 3 days - same breakfast everyday - have had better and worse - a little above average. We had roll-away bed put in... more

My wife and I stayed at the Charleston Comfort Inn two nights in June 2009. I booked the room knowing that it was a good distance from the downtown historic district (it's adjacent to MUSC) and not a "luxury" hotel. With that in mind, it was a very good value for us. Our room was a decent size, the bathroom... more

I went with my husband for our anniversary. I knew hotels in Charleston would be expensive but spending over $300 for three nights (and that was with a military discount) was too much considering there was not enough parking for the guests (we had to park over in the VA hospital parking lot several times) and the power went out... more

I stayed April 3 to 5th. I got a good rate, a fair sized CLEAN room, a VERY comfortable bed, and a nice continental breakfast. Actually the breakfast was far more varied and attractive than I had expected. A lady was right there and handy in case you needed assistance. The breakfast area was clean and I had no trouble... more

This hotel is very run down and overall in bad shape, so avoid it unless penny pinching and trying to stay in downtown Charleston. It is near the ballpark so if wanting to be close for a baseball game it is about 1 mile or so. If visiting the VA hospital it is acrss the street. Overall it is not... more

All the hotels in Charleston are $$$$ so we opted for this one. Not the best choice. It is across the street from a huge hospital complex and university medical center. Except for a Burger King, you really can't walk anywhere, it is by the highway. Beds are old, pillows are old. Try to get closer to downtown - the... more

I needed to stay close to the hospital because my father was ill. I stayed at this hotel because of the location. The staff was very friendly and the accomondations were all I needed. This hotel provided me with a clean room and a quite place to stay after spending the day at the Hospital. more

While I saw many reviews complaining, we found this to be a fine place to stay. The workers were friendly and the room was clean. The continental breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend for value and the location is convenient to MUSC which was our reason for travel. more

Stayed here for 4 nights in early November because it was a good deal. We won't stay here again. The staff was very, very nice, but not really on the ball. The place is run-down, the two elevators are the SLOWEST ones in the world! Everyone commented on the slowness. The smell in the elevators was like male cat spray.... more

We stayed for 2 nights in early October. The only available room was a "smoking room" but we thought this would still be ok. As a non-smoker I assumed the room would be the same as any other, but with ashtrays. How wrong could I be? On entering the room there was a very strong stale tobacco smell which was... more
