Our room was super cute, small but very nice. It was quiet and the people who work there were really nice. We enjoyed our couple of days there. The location is great as well! I would definitely book this place again!

My husband and I recently stayed two nights at the Battery Carriage Inn. Our room was very clean and the service was great. You can easily walk to the restaurants and shops downtown from the Battery Carriage house. We were disappointed with the breakfast options (really just bagels, croissants, cereal) - we expected homemade/hot meals for the price that we... More

My daughter and I just returned from Charleston, staying two nights here. I was concerned, after reading some of the reviews, but my daughter had her heart set on this place because some of the rooms are reportedly "haunted". It was a delightful experience! Could not have asked for a better staff. Krystal is a dear, sweet and knowledgable young... More

The rooms that are available to stay in are in the carriage house and rooms underneath the front porch. You cannot see the main house due to the owners of the b&b live there. If I would have known this I probably wouldn't have booked because that's one of the reasons I love staying at b&bs. My husband really wanted... More

Based upon my review of other's comments, I booked at the Battery Carriage House Inn. I was very disappointed. Our room was cave-like--dark, smelled strongly of mold or mildew, the bathroom was very small, the bed uncomfortable, linens were cheap and scratchy, and quite honestly, didn't seem very clean. The entire property is in need of a thorough refresh. The... More

We stayed here the night after our wedding. It is in a great location, the building is beautiful and we definitely had plenty of privacy. Service was great. The room was very small, we didn't have a view. Of course being a historic building it had its quirks. The bathroom was awkward, the tub was hard to get in and... More

If you want to really experience Charleston, then you need to make the decision to stay in one of the town's B&Bs in the Battery Row area. Battery Carriage House is reputed to be the most haunted of places in Charleston, but don't fret-I didn't see a spook anywhere, much to my dismay. It's haunted past is well documented, even... More

The best I can say about this B&B is that the office staff is very pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful with sightseeing recommendations. The room was clean, well maintained, and the air conditioning worked, but the bed was very stiff and sloped towards the center. The yard out back was once a garden, but has not been maintained for some time,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Battery Carriage House and loved it. It is so cute and convenient! The people who work there are wonderful and exemplify what Southern Charm truly is. We loved having breakfast in the arbor and reading the paper each morning. It was perfectly located for us - close to the park, walking distance to... More

We were advised that the best location to stay in Charleston was on South Battery Street. We booked this B&B after some research on tripadvisor and other websites. Now i wished I'd stayed closer to the center where i would have gotten much better value for money. The room on the front ground floor was tiny and very dark. The... More
