This place is really unique with huge wood beams and exposed brick. The location is ok, kind of on the end of the really happening historic district. We were a party of three women and shared a Premium Loft room which was huge. King bed downstairs with couch, chair, wet bar, and full bath. Upstairs was another queen and half... More

We stayed here on a Thursday for our 1 year anniversary. This hotel is a million times better than it looks on their website. The lady at the front desk was so sweet, and the champagne was actually on ice and in our room when we got there. I was very impressed by that, only because I didn't expect them... More

My wife and I visited Charleston this past Labor day weekend. We stayed at Ansonborough for 2 nights, and it was great. The decor is fantastic, the room we got was very nice and comfortable, the art in the building is great, and the fact that they have an included continental breakfast just tops it off. It's a bit out... More

The entire stay, starting with the front desk clerk, was perfect. We stayed 2 nights in room 209. My only complaint is that our room was directly above the front door. You couldn't hear conversations, but the door makes a unique thumping that woke me up. Otherwise, the room was small but interesting. A painted brick wall, very high ceiling... More

A great location, within walking distance of the bars and restaurants around the market place. HUGE rooms. A good idea to look at the hotel website as it doesn't always appear in Expedia even when there are rooms available. Nightly wine reception. Good quality breakfast.

A few short blocks from the Old City Market this inn is truly an incredible find. We stayed for three nights and could not believe how wonderful it was. The inn, a converted paper factory, is quite unique with a lobby that soars up past three floors of guest rooms to skylights that make its oak beams and walls sparkle.... More

Stayed here one night, we wished we could have stayed longer. Great location, great rooms, great staff. Would definitely stay here again. It's within walking distance Market street and all the action. Their rooftop terrace was good, I just wish they would have had a bar on it. It would have been nice to have a drink with Charleston's skyline.

We stayed for two nights, and ut was wonderful. We had a room in the 3rd floor, which was newley remodelled. High ceilings with a beautiful chandelier. Spacious rooms and comfy beds. The breakfast could be better with wider selection. And the hotel is situated a little walk from the city centre, but absolutely within reasonable range - 5-7 min... More

Being from Conn. my wife and I loved our stay at the Asnbgh inn!! we parked the car and never got back in until we went to Boone Hall plantation. We loved this hotel located near the historic area. Staff were friendly and accommodating and our rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The wine reception was a plus and while the breakfast is adequate, it was not a highlight. The entry is gorgeous. The rooftop terrace was a great place to view the downtown with an approaching thunderstorm providing the fireworks... More
