The Fantasia is a lovely quiet home within easy walking distance from the centre of Charleston and the visitor centre. Our hosts were so friendly and warm with lots of tips for making our stay memorable-we were sad to leave. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfasts in a most interesting and well appointed dining room and had the benefit of the... more

First of all we were promised a fruit platter and all we got were bananas and after complaining we received oranges. They left some coffee in a container which was old and there were no muffins or rolls. We asked for some bread and received a half loaf of two months old bread. It was strange when we wanted to... more

We stayed for 3 nights in May, in the lower carriage house. Plenty of room, nice having a full kitchen. Great location, with free parking, and we could walk everywhere. Jack and Sara are lovely, and we really enjoyed the stories of beautiful old Charleston. They gave us great tips on restaurant recommendations, and a walking tour which we followed... more

Great Innkeepers who made us feel welcome and comfortable at all times. We stayed in the room on the second floor and had access to the attic room to sleep (although very warm and stuffy). The sitting room was stocked with coffee and tea and the bathroom was huge. The best part of this room was the lovely veranda. We... more

Fantsia B&B is a great gem in Charleston's crown of Bed And Breakfasts. My husband and I have stayed at this quaint B&B numerous times over the last six years. It is indeed our "home" when we visit Charleston. We have had the pleasure of staying in the lower carriage house as well as the Magnolia Room in the main... more

Stayed for three nights in May 2009. We stayed in the lower room, and it was not good. The only positive is that the room is large and there is a full size kitchen. First problem, upon entering the room, it is very musty. No way to open the windows, so had to live with the stink. Second problem, while... more

My husband and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary with a long weekend in Charleston. We fell in love with the charming Southern town and all its offerings. The Fantasia B&B was the perfect place to stay. The owners are super sweet. The house is historic and lovely and the location is ideal. Parking is free and you can walk... more

For our second trip to Charleston we wanted to stay in the heart of the historic district and the Fantasia was a happy find, assisted in part by this web site's reveiwers. Our experience in the Lower Carriage House was probably different from that of guests who stay in the main building, but it suited us just fine. While we... more

We spent 6 days at Fantasia, and enjoyed Sara and Jack's wonderful breakfasts and genuine hospitality. Our lovely room, decorated with antiques, was very comfortable. The location is ideal for walking into and throughout the historic district. We've stayed at many B & B's, and this is certainly a top choice! more

This is a much more expensive place than the old motels I tend to stay in, but I booked us here as a special Valentine's Day treat for my fiancee. It was not a decision I would regret. The house is a charming old building of a type that seems peculiar to Charleston. We got the Dogwood Room, which is... more
