4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We recently spent 3 nights in the University Guesthouse, which is managed by the Cannonboro Inn owner and staff and provides all the services and amenities of the Inn. We and our friends had the two upstairs bedrooms, both of which were spacious and comfortable. The downstairs bedroom was occupied over the 3 nights we were there by 2 different... More

We just spent 3 nights at the Canonboro Inn. We loved talking to the Innkeeper (Lynn) and Barry (the owner) regaled everyone with the history of Charleston. The room was very nice and clean, the shower was adequate, but just barely. Especially nice was the 4 o'clock wine and appetizers. A lovely way to sit and unwind after a day... More

Thank you for staying with us at the Cannonboro! We really enjoyed your company! Springtime in Charleston is always so busy and it sure is nice to come back to the inn out of all the busy tourist area and relax with wine and a bite on the piazza. We hope to have you return to visit. MANY HAPPY RETURNS!... More

Stayed for 5 nights in late March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had room 3 on the second floor with is on the side of the building. Rooms 1 and 2 are on the front of the building but the road outside is not particularly busy at night so I think any of the rooms would be very good.... More

My sister and I spent 2 nights at the Cannonboro Inn and loved all the little extra touches, the furnishings and our room. The breakfasts were beautifully prepared and delicious, when we walked in after 5pm, there was a container of chilled wine and snacks set out so pretty on the dining table. My sister and I were able to... More

Thank you for your lovely review! We certainly enjoyed you and your sister's company! Barry, the owner sure does know his history! It is an inspiring way to start the day at breakfast to hear him speak of details which include our historic neighborhood and home. We hope to see you again! MANY HAPPY RETURNS! We stayed at the Cannonboro primarily because we could not find a place in the historic district. We were very satisfied with our choice and found the staff to be helpful not only with our accommodations, but with helping find a tour that fit our schedule. Everything was very clean and breakfasts were very good. The afternoon wine, cheese and... More

Thank you for the great review! It is a catch 22 with our house...antique furniture and hardwood floors. This lends little noise in the morning in setting up for breakfast, although we do try to keep the guests in mind while doing this. We apologize for the disturbance and have taken the tip for any future guests. Please come stay... More

This was our first time visiting Charleston and it will not be the last. We regularly stay in B&Bs and found the Canonboro to be among the best we have visited along the east coast. Lynn greeted us upon arrival and was friendly and helpful. Her breakfast menus were unique and flavorful. Barry regaled us at breakfast with interesting and... More

Nice B&B in Charleston. Located between the Medical School and the College of Charleston, easy walking to King Street and beyond. Nice rooms, lovely wine and tidbits reception, friendly hosts and delicious breakfast.

I've never stayed in a B&B before so I didn't know what to expect. Part of the reason I picked Cannonboro was because everything in the area was booked for the weekend. And while I expected it to be a fair experience, I didn't expect to LOVE my experience the way I did. I stayed with my husband and from... More

We found the Inn to be quite charming. Our room was large with a king bed and balcony. The shower/toilet room was dated but more then adequate. The little touch of hors d'oeuvre and wine in the late afternoon was nice. Breakfast was very good. 10+ minute walk to King street made the location work. Relative to much more expensive... More

I stayed in the Guest House for 3 nights and just loved it. The Guest House was built around 1850 and use to be the carriage house for Wickliffe House. It's located 4 doors away from Cannonboro Inn. The people we dealt with at the Cannonboro were very nice and helpful. I stayed in the room on the first floor,... More
