The thermostats had lock boxes and the innkeeper left for the night!!!! We were FREEZING and helpless. The heat was set at 58 degrees in the dead of winter. We were not told when the breakfast was being served for the following morning and missed it (it was at the crack of dawn). The pillows smelled foul and of dirty... more

We were so happy with this bed and breakfast that we decided to spend our entire week at Cannonboro Inn, even though we had originally planned to try a few. The staff is friendly and kind. The innkeeper has an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the area and the attractions that are available. The breakfast was a different delight... more

Dr. Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) once wrote: "There is nothing which has yet been contrived by man, by which so much happiness is produced as by a good inn." The one thing that made our recent trip to Charleston, SC more enjoyable than any other was the Cannonboro Inn Bed and Breakfast. The city is wonderful, the restaurants are fabulous, and... more

Needed to get away from the fast pace life of work and kids everything else we could fit into a 24 hour day. The Cannonboro Inn was just the right place. They welcomed us just as if we were family coming for a visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered plenty of things to do in Charleston,... more

The personal attention and wealth of information that Barry, the owner gives, is worth its weight in gold! And the Cannonboro Inn completely met our expectations for a B&B plus more: great breakfasts, afternoon teas and location is great. This is a must place to stay while in Charleston. more

the cannonboro is a beautifully appointed, well maintained, guest-friendly little sister b&b (big sister, the ashley, is just a block away), and i had a great stay there for 2 nights. susan was our morning hostess at breakfast, and she was TERRIFIC for getting what i needed, sight-seeing advice (both what and what NOT to see), and general comraderie. i... more

We enjoyed our 4 nights at this Bed and Breakfast very much. Our room was very clean, roomy and nicely decorated. We have stayed at over 100 B&Bs, and Barry had to be one of the better innkeepers we have ever had. He was full of helpful and interesting information about the city and the area. He also had many... more

This B&B was delightful. The delicious breakfast was served promptly at 8:00 am, while the owner answered questions and filled us in on the historical aspects of Charleston's history back to the 1700's. Menus were available for local restaurants, and maps of the area for walking and driving. The off-street parking provided was important to me. The rooms were clean, and... more

We didnt have the best experience with the Cannonboro. On a good note, the owner was very nice and knowledgable of Charleston. And the gentlemen who kept the rooms up and cooked breakfast was very nice and a VERY hard worker. Now for what we had trouble with. Although we understand it's an old Inn, the fan in our bathroom... more

My wife and I came here for a getaway weekend, so I was trying hard to strike a balance between the all the nice things we wanted to do/see and the costs involved. Cannonboro Inn is one of the best values I have ever found. The rooms are excellent - good size, nicely finished, and there aren't too many of... more
