This charming c. 1853 Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of the historic residential district. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the gourmet breakfasts a treat, whether served in the dining room or outside on the verandah. Amenities include afternoon tea and wine with home made treats, complimentary bicycles and concierge service. The owner is a history... More

First time at Cannonboro Inn. We found Barry very interesting to talk to. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. With some great stories to tell us. Lyn is a fantastic hostess and chef. You will be amazed with the afternoon wine and snacks!!

This was my first B&B experience and I can't stop talking about it. From the minute we arrived till the minute we left the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly..The 1800'S house was charming and clean. The first and second floor "piazzas" were a delight to eat, drink, mingle or simply relax on. The gourmet breakfast each... More

Stop your search right here! This positively immaculate and well-appointed inn with an extremely efficient staff made me feel so welcomed! Lynn, our consummate hostess, provided in-depth information to the best restaurant and tours in the Charleston area—even the best locations for photographs. Her expertise didn’t stop there as she cooked us scrumptious gourmet breakfasts served on the beautiful verandah,... More

I'm not sure what some people expect when they stay at a B&B, but I loved every minute of our visit. Our 1st floor room was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the street noise was not a distraction at all. Barry was indeed a wealth of information on local history and we enjoyed talking with him. Lynn was amazing in... More

This B&B was recommended to us by some friends who had stayed here several years ago and we were not disappointed! We went to Charleston for a wedding and truly enjoyed not staying in the hotel where the wedding party & guests were located. The Cannonboro Inn has a gracious manager, Lynn, who is willing to assist with any of... More

The first room had no hot water and only one air conditioning vent worked, so they moved us. This room was more spacious but on the front of the house upstairs, so again, the room was hot! Again, took 20 minutes to get hot water(which mayhave been the problem with the first room) but the major problem was noise from... More

Thank you for the compliment about breakfast. And Barry sure does know his history! Unfortunately we are located on a city street with traffic. Being that the city was established over 400 years ago always lends itself to small streets that weren't really made for large cars and trucks...which in turn reverberate noise. I truly feel that I made every effort... More

I have nothing but praise for this wonderful, reasonably priced inn. My wife and I stayed here from June 18th through the 24th, and were thrilled with the dedication and customer focus of the entire staff, but especially Lynn (the head inn keeper). Everyone exceeded our expectations. So if customer service is important to you, and you are looking for... More

To our mind a typical southern house with classic 4-poster beds, charming porches and very warm and helpful service. It's also nice that you eat breakfast on the verandah with the other guests. Easy access to the Charleston pubs and restaurants.

My husband and I were delighted with our stay at the Cannonboro Inn. The Inn is beautiful and our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Wine and homemade hors d'oeuvres--what a relaxing way to end the day. The food was great and we were fortunate to meet very congenial guests; we shared wonderful afternoon visits. The breakfasts were gourmet... More
