Great hotel within walking distance to everything. We had a 'queen' room which was 'compact' but quaint with a four poster bed and everything there we needed. Reception very welcoming with fresh flowers and a great 'book' showing the menus of many of the local restaurants - very helpful. Parking not too far from hotel in a multi-story lot but... more

Thank you sharing your impression of our Inn. The old saying "Location, Location, Location" certainly comes into play when you stay with us. I am glad you found us welcoming and am also glad to hear you enjoyed our wine and cheese time. It is a big hit with our guests and a great opportunity to make new friends. We...

From the time to arrived , til' the time we begrudingly departed, the Anchorage Inn was the perfect place to stay to enjoy this beautiful city. It is within walking distance to some of the most enjoyable shopping, dining and historical places of interest. From the wonderful breakfast, to the Wine and Cheese and evening Sherry Nightcap.....the Anchorage Inn is... more

Recently stayed for the weekend. A little concerned initially because we never received our email confirmation as offered/promised to us. When I called to reconfirm, I was transferred twice and then told to call a different # to get the confirmation a few days prior to arrival (834 # versus calling the toll-free # ). Also, the online rate was... more

I was glad to read that this guest was happy with the staff and the location. Room 1 is on the street and I have repeat guests who request that room often. We stay about 90% full throughout the year and at night turn the lights down throughout the inn and have had guests sleep through breakfast because it is...

This little Inn in Charleston, South Carolina was a great place to stay. It was in walking distance of EVERYTHING! The rooms were a little small but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great time. The staff was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again! Newnan, Georgia more

Our reservation was entered for the wrong day, so although we called a few hours before our arrival and were told everything was fine, when we arrived they had no room for us. While polite, the employee was unable to do anything and did not seem to listen. Frustrating since she was the same staff member who had confirmed our... more

I am not sure which guest wrote the above review but with the dates and city of origin, I am assuming I have figured out which guest it was. The guest states the reservation was entered for the wrong date but fails to mention that the reservation was entered for the date the guest made the reservation. We had been...

I was very happy with our recent stay at the Anchorage Inn. The location is wonderful, you are within steps of the waterfront park and many different shops and places to eat. The Inn is very small and quaint. We had a queen room with a window overlooking the street. The breakfast was nice and the evening sherry is a... more

My husband and I went to Charleston for our 10th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The Anchorage Inn staff was sweet and went the extra mile for their guest. Our room was very pleasant, it could use a few upgrades but over all was good. The bed was comfy and the room spaciuos. we stayed in one of... more

I chose the Anchorage Inn based on a recommendation from my parents and the great location and price...or so I thought. The room was clean and well appointed, and we did have a window, which was nice since all rooms do not - look out for this if it's important to you. The location was ideal for touring Charleston, with... more

I am glad to hear that this guest was pleased with the room and the Inn in general. I am disappointed that this guest feels that the manager(that is me) would allow the staff to alter a registration card to win an argument about the rate. All of our guests are asked to sign a registration card upon check-in that...

Great location in the French Quater with many restaurant choices and galleries within east walking distance. But for accomodations in the $200 per night range we were very disappointed. The very OLD mattresses sagged and had springs poking through. The pillows were also so old and flat that we needed to request two extra just to have some support. If... more
