Everyone who works at The Anchorage was so pleasant and helpful that it felt like home! The room worked even for four women at once. The location was within walking distance of numerous fine restaurants. We were able to park our cars and walk everywhere we wanted to go. I liked everything about the hotel, but I'm not used to... more

The location of this hotel was fantastic. The waterfront park was just steps away, and restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. I was a little disappointed in our room. The room was outdated and the linens seemed several years old. The pillows seemed more than several years old. However, the bathroom was updated and very nice. The Bath and... more

This inn was truly a lovely place to stay for our four days in Charleston. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. We stayed in the Palmetto Suite. It was nicely located at the rear of the Inn and handy to outside access. The Inn is located in the heart of the historic district and walking to attractions and restaurants... more

Traveled to Charleston with high school friends that I hadn't seen in over 25 years. Lakeatra helped me set up this "reunion"...and it was everything she said it would be. The entire staff was incredibly friendly. The location was fantastic. The price was unbeatable.......and the accomadations were beautiful (except for the moisture in 2 of the rooms!) Lakeatra and Nay... more

From the moment we walked in we knew this was going to be a great place to stay. The smell of fresh flowers and the very friendly staff welcomed us as we were shown the premises. The location is just awesome and puts you close to the market, city parks, the battery and rainbow row. We were scheduled to stay... more

Our visit at the Anchorage Inn was a wonderful experience that suited our taste. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and met all our needs. The amenities including a nice breakfast and a wine/cheese time in the evening afforded us the opportunity to meet and talk to many nice guests whom we would have not... more

My huband and I spent three nights at Anchorage Inn and found our experience to be delightful. My spouse was not very entusiastic about this trip until we arrived. We both enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and our room was perfect. When we return to Charleston the Anchorage Inn will be our choice for accomadations. To all the staff,... more

Just stayed with the Anchorage Inn for a girl's trip Sep 11 - 13 and had an absolutley wonderful stay. We upgraded to the Palmetto suite which was just beautiful. The inn is filled with antiques and reproductions and is very beautifully decorated. The location cannot be beat. It is within walking distance to everything. The breakfast is just fine,... more

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I am glad you had such a great stay here. My staff works hard to allow guests to experience Charleston on their own but are always willing to help with recommendations, directions and contact information. I am also glad you found the breakfast quite good and the location even better. We look...

We recently visited Charleston with friends celebrating their 35th anniversary. This was not our first visit to Charleston, but their first trip to your great city. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Anchorage Inn, from calling for directions when we made a wrong turn, to checking in, and everything thereafter, our visit was everything we expected and more. The... more
