Randy Cabell, despite being curteous, is dishonest-we submitted a deposit that she claimed never went through but it was charged to our card. We complained and were pushed back by the owner. We arrived mid-afternoon. Nobody there. Calls went to voicemail. We had to wait 3 hours to get in. No apologies. The room was dirty from the previous tenant.... More

The owner, Randy and her staff was absolutely awesome. One person in our group of 7 became ill while we were there and the staff bent over backwards to make her as comfortable as they could. The rooms were very comfortable. The only drawback is the sink in the bathrooms. I think that is the smallest sink I have ever... More

We arrived after a twelve hour trip to a dark house with no answer to our knocking. Two sealed envelopes were on the door but neither one had our name. Repeated phone calls went unanswered. We had called the day before to confirm our arrival time but spent two hours waiting when a flustered owner arrived with no explanation for... More

A very nice B7B right in the heart of the oldest part of Charleston, down by the Battery (tip). It is a classic older place with lots of old touches. Randy and C.... do a great job for breakfast, for cleaning, for having a bottle of wine always ready, for helping with a dog, and so on. The side yard... More

We stayed in the Claiborne room, as we were looking for a B&B with king bed accommodations. Our room was lovely, and breakfast was very good both days. We had French toast one day, spinach & ham omelette the next day. The porch is a lovely spot to relax, and it's very close to Battery, so a great place to... More

The nice thing about staying at a B&B is that the owner/manager generally has an interest in providing a personalized experience for guests. From our experience, they are usually willing to go above and beyond to make the guest's stay special. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at the Cabell house. We were staying there over my birthday weekend during a... More

My wife and I stayed in the Nathaniel room for two nights in July. We brought our two Labradors with us. The room was lovely; clean, beautiful trim, fresh paint, everything you would expect. They took excellent care of us; we especially enjoyed the dog walking. We highly recommend them. We enjoyed the openness of the space, and how the... More

We stayed four nights at Cabell House and loved it. Our room was beautiful as was the house and neighbourhood. You walk out the door and can explore for hours. Randi and the staff were very friendly and inviting.hosts. The breakfasts were wonderful also. I especially loved sitting on the side porch at the end of the day with a... More

This bed and breakfast is in a perfect location and that is really the best part about staying here. It is both quiet and convenient to just about everywhere in Charleston. There is parking on the side of the house; but it can be quite tight. We stayed in the Randolph Room which is very small and the bathroom is outside... More

My boyfriend and I stopped in Charleston for the night on a road trip from Miami to DC. Our dog, Mauii, weighs about 100 lbs and was traveling with us. We found the Cabell House on Bring Fido. We were very pleased with the B&B! We had very limited interactions with the innkeepers but were given our room (very pretty!)... More
