When you think about a visit to the South, one word comes to mind: Hospitality. Jack and AnnElisse Simmons treat their guests with hospitality and courtesy from the moment you arrive at 15 Church Street. My wife and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary in Charleston, and we were greeted like welcome family members by AnnElisse upon our arrival. This... More

We had a wonderful trip to the Spoleto Festival and stayed at the 15 Church Street B&B. Our delightful hosts, Jack and Annelise, made us feel right at home. We met other lovely travelers while enjoying home-cooked breakfasts. The location, within the historic Charleston Peninsula near The Battery, was ideal for walking to many Spoleto venues. The homes in the... More

Jack's childhood home is located on one of the most beautiful streets in Charleston. Parking was free and we enjoyed riding the owner's bicycles or walking everywhere we went. The home is located within a few blocks of tourist attractions, the battery, churches, upscale dining, bars and shops. We loved the fragrant jasmine that lined the streets and being able... More

Annelise and Jack Simmons are so welcoming, open and knowledgeable about their beautiful city that we instantly felt at home. They provided the difference between being a tourist in a city and being immersed in its warmth. Unlike at many B&B's, here we felt like we had made friends. Their house really feels like a home where you belong. It... More

My husband and I stayed here last summer and had a fabulous trip. Charming inn, highly recommended! Annelise & Jack were wonderful hosts and made many nice recommendations on local restaurants, tours, etc.

Our group of four long-time friends spent 3 days visiting Charleston for the Festival of Houses and Gardens. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay than 15 Church St.: The Phillips-Yates-Snowden House. I have visited Charleston several times and have stayed in hotels and other B&B's, but our time spent with Jack, Annelise, Martha and Katie was... More

Location, comfort, cleanliness--Excellent, excellent, excellent! Located just steps from the waterside & easy walk into the business district. Gorgeous 4-story home with 2-story wrap-around porches, tastefully furnished with gorgeous antiques. Made-to-order full breakfast served in formal dining room with other guests. Special treat: wine & cheese in the evening. Jack & Annelise are the BEST hosts ever--available, entertaining but not... More

Chose 15 Church Street because of all of the Trip Adviser reviews. And boy are we glad we did. Jack and Annelise were great hosts and we feel we got a great sense of Charleston from visiting with them when we arrived and every evening during their cocktail social hour. Room was clean and comfortable and sitting on the large... More

The Snowden-Yates-Simmons Bed and Breakfast at 15 Church Street provides the quintessential Southern experience to its guests. The historic home is beautiful, the hospitality is warm, and its located in the wonderful South-of Broad district. My friends and I enjoyed the Carriage House, with its cozy fireplace and comfortable bedrooms. A lovely breakfast is provided each morning. The hosts are... More

We were treated like cherished guests from the moment we crossed the threshold into this charming home. We were escorted into their living room and offered refreshments and good stories about Charleston. The rooms we had (Carriage House) were perfect for three old college friends traveling on a "yaya" trip. Jack, Annelise and Martha checked often to make sure we... More
