What a wonderful weekend we just had! This place is everything you have read about. First class. The house is beautiful and our room was perfect. The Rose Room was exactly what we wanted...Jack even furnished us logs for the fireplace each night. Jack and Annelise were in the middle of decorating for Christmas and the house was even more... more

The owner's hospitality was over the top. There is a nightly cocktail hour. The rooms are spacious and charming. The location is terrific and the breakfasts were delicious. We would highly reccommend this B&B. There is no daily maid service, but I would stay there again with no hesitation.. more

We spent three nights here and enjoyed every second of it. South of Broad (where this B & B is) is unique and steeped in history. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby and in greater Charleston. I probably shouldn't say it becuase we don't want it to get too crowded, but the Fat Hen west of the Ashley is... more

We have been coming to participate in the Bridge Run for the past 3 years and would not miss the opportunity to stay w/ Jack and Anneliese. The first year staying in their home - you felt like old friends. They were so warm and made you feel so much apart of Charleston. You really get an insighters view and... more

We had a wonderful experience during our 3 night stay in the Rose room. Being a younger couple experiencing a vacation in a Charleston B&B, we didn't know quite what to expect. However, my wife and I can both attest to the warm and friendly service we were treated to during our entire stay. Jack and Annelise, including their dear... more

My friends and I had a wonderful stay with the Simmons at their lovely B&B. We stayed in the carriage house and found it very comfortable. The host and hostess (and even their friends) were always ready to assist and make recommendations on what to see and do. One of the best suggestions was using Pedicabs to get around the... more

We visited Charleston during the week leading up to the 4th of July, 2009. It was typical weather for the South... sunny, hot, humid. The saving grace in Charleston, however, is the constant breeze along the waterfront. A perfect way to escape the heat! Fortunately for us, we had picked a perfect location! A wonderful B&B just 1 block from... more

This was our second stay at 15 Church Street (the Phillips-Yates-Snowdon House) and the experience was as special as we remembered! My husband and I make every effort to stay in highly rated bed and breakfasts whenever possible during our travels. We have not received a more gracious welcome, or more assistance, than that offered by Jack and Annelise Simmons.... more

This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and we LOVED it! Dr. and Mrs. Simmons go above and beyond to make you feel at home and make sure you enjoy your experience in historic Charleston. We found that Dr. and Mrs. Simmons were very knowledgable about the history of the town as well as tours, restaurants, sites... more

This B&B has a very unique feel to it. From the time you enter, it will feel very much like a home. Innkeeper Dr. Jack Simmons actually grew up in the house, and he and his lovely wife, Annelise, have lived here their whole married lives. You can find more elegant B&Bs that have more the feel of a hotel... more
