This new, contemporary waterfront hotel overlooking the marina was a perfect fit for us. The sunsets from our balcony were worth the trip alone. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay delightful. The front desk was ready with good advice and on two occasions got us a taxi with a fun and informative driver. When possible... First time in Charleston, SC for my husband and I. Loved being on the City of Charleston Marina! View spectacular...sunrises and sunsets gorgeous! A nice break from Charleston's quaint and beautiful historic district. Loved the Mercedes van shuttle! All drivers informative and friendly! Not dealing with parking in the historic district was a bonus for us. Staff friendly, courteous and... More

The hotel is very new. The furnishings are very nice. It overlooks the marina, which makes for a nice view. It's not really convenient to walking sightseeing but the hotel offers a shuttle that takes you down to the market and historic district every hour on the hour.

Great newer property --rooms very quiet--and if you get a riverfront balcony--treated to great views of the river and marina. While not in walking distance to historic district--hotel offers a shuttle every hour on the hour to Pineapple Fountain with pick up at 15 minutes after the hour. Even in a big restaurant mecca like Charleston, the hotel dining room... More

Very easy to get to when driving into town. Check in was quick and easy (early too). Nice room with a great view of the marina- Yes, pay the extra! Bed was nice. We passed on the 14.95 per/ breakfast and hit the grocery store for breakfast food. Parking was free and under the building. Now, leaving there, to go... More

This hotel met all of our needs. We've stayed in the historic area and also in Mount Pleasant and this was the perfect "in between" in terms of location and price. The gym was amazing and the shuttle was super convenient. We had a view of the water/marina and it was beautiful.

We began our time in Charleston at the Hilton Garden Inn and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel rooms were beautiful, immaculate and spacious. Their beds might have been the most comfortable in any hotel we have stayed. The staff (Kandyce) were extremely helpful in providing information on sites and restaurants. Kerry the manager took time with us to speak about... More

Hotel was clean and seems fairly new. Staff at the front desk, while polite, often seemed overwhelmed or distracted. Toilet paper holder location in our room bathroom was odd and difficult to access. To get from the front desk to our room on the first floor was also strange as one must walk through the bar/breakfast area with your belongings... More

The hotel was very nice. My biggest issue is the fact that the continental breakfast was $8 per person over and above the high cost of the rooms, plus if you wanted additional breakfast such as bacon and eggs, it cost an additional $8. With the cost of the rooms here, I feel at the minimum, the continental should be... More

Was on a 3-day vacation in Charleston with friends and figured to give the Hilton Garden inn a try, didn't turn out to be the best decision. Pros: 1. Clean and spacious room, great decors both in rooms and in the lobby. 2. Great view from room overlooking Ashley River. 3. Location was decently convenient for the price. Cons: 1.... More
