Zero George is the type of Inn Charleston was meant to have. A modern interpretation of southern chic. It's not overly fussy or decorative. It's as if Calvin Klein did their space. When you arrive you enter what appears to be the oldest part of the Inn and are immediately taken aback by how charming and beautiful the place is.... More

Our first visit to Charleston and we chose Zero George due to high ratings in Jet Setter and other publications. We were aware of the construction across the street, but did not know if it would impact us. It did, along with a mildew smell in our first room. As the hotel was full, we gutted it out the first... This was our first time to Charleston and I did a lot of research to find the perfect place for our visit. I am happy to say I found it. Zero George Street is small, intimate and charming. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had reserved a standard room and it was lovely. However, soon... More

Stayed at Zero George for one evening in the Anson Suite. I'm not super familiar with Charleston but it seems to be located pretty centrally to this New Yorker - only a few blocks to King Street and near restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is really four buildings, which are all historic, Southern mansions. We were in the oldest... More

Gorgeous building and rooms, very comfortable and spacious. The courtyard is especially lovely for the afternoon wine and cheese. Great location as close to the harbour and to main shopping street. We loved Charleston! Only gripe would be being charged for a second glass of wine at the wine and cheese time-surely that could be included also.

Linda D Perth, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the style, look and comfort of Zero George. Thank you for the great review and choosing to stay with us! The courtyard, our garden oasis, is a great place to relax and enjoy both the complimentary breakfast and complimentary afternoon wine & cheese. Regarding the additional glass of wine, should... This is probably the best small hotel I've stayed at in the US. My partner and I spent 4 nights this past weekend had nothing but excellent service the entire stay. The entire staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgable regarding what to do and where to eat in Charleston; all excellent recommendations. Service was superb! The room itself was... More

Fantastic class with Chef Randy. Not the traditional "foodie tourist" class where you practice chopping onions and get some recipes. I have several pages of notes and can't wait to try out some of the techniques. A great way to spend an afternoon in Charleston.

There aren't words to describe the amazing southern hospitality we received at Zero George Street. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon last November. The architecture, warmth, and aesthetic of ZGS is top notch in itself. Add on excellent customer service, delicious food, and quiet atmosphere, and you cannot ask for anything more out of any accommodation. This... More

My husband and I stayed for three nights. We were in an Anson Suite (top floor of main house). Our balcony faced into the courtyard. Unlike a previous review, we did not hear the construction of the Gaillard Center at all inside or outside our room. While it's admittedly not an attractive view seeing this MASSIVE construction project while driving... More

We chose Zero George for our 20th anniversary getaway and we are so glad we did! It's so charming - an oasis in Charleston. We were greeted warmly by the staff who directed us to the lovely outdoor seating where we were brought a very nice cheeseboard and wine (complimentary each evening to hotel guests - nice touch). We enjoyed... More
