My wife and I try to travel to Charleston once a year, or at least every other year, and always stay at the FQI. This time we decided to spend part of our anniversary trip there, and could not have had a better time. The manager and staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The evening wine... more

Couldn't ask for a better location for seeing the sights in Charleston. The FQI was within easy walking distance of so many shops and great restaurants and historic sites. We loved all the many restaurant choices just around the block. And all the little extras the hotel provides really made it feel luxurious: the breakfast delivered to our room at... more

The FQI is a beautifully decorated and equipped hotel in the heart of Old Charleston. I took the advice of another reviewer and asked for a quiet room on the side of the building. The hotel has lots of little "nooks" inside and out where you can sit with a cup of tea or coffee, and the rooms and generously... more

Had a very nice visit - comfortable atmosphere - very nice friendly staff - couldnt be more helpful and nice. Great location...........comfortable room and bathroom, only suggestion would be to upgrade the bedding....... Good breakfast, wine and cheese late afternoon, milk and cookies at bedtime ! Would happily return. more

Stayed at the FQI for a Charleston weekend. The property is outstanding in every way. Staff was accommodating, courteous, and friendly. The wine, champagne and cookies are nice touches, and contribute to the overall atmosphere of elegance and charm. Breakfast is modest but certainly sufficient. The room was well-equipped and comfortable. The "pillow menu" is a big plus, and I... more

We took advantage of some last minute airfares to take a long November weekend to Charleston. Trip Advisor members offered great advice and their reviews helped me select the French Quarter Inn for our hotel -- perfect choice! The small 50 room inn's location placed us close to interesting attractions and their attention to detail was superb. The hotel caters... more

We stayed one night in Charleston en route from NY to Florida and I booked a room at the French Quarter Inn after reading the rave reviews on Tripadvisor. The hotel was everything that we were lead to expect, in particular the staff were very helpful and friendly, no fuss about our arriving a bit earlier than scheduled check-in time.... more

Just got back from 3 nights there. Rooms were very quiet, faced the back off of street. Service was outstanding. Access to city excellent-able to walk everywhere and only needed car to leave island for further sight-seeing. Excellent dinner at Slightly North of Broad one night, another excellent meal at MAgnolia's a. Very safe walking--no panhandlers or street people. Hotel... more

My wife, her 87-year-old mother, and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn earlier this month on our way back from a family gathering at Edisto Beach. We wanted a convenient location in historic Charleston and a nice place as we celebrated my wife's and her mother's birthdays. From my first contact by phone to reserve two traditional rooms to... more

It was a pleasure to have you, your wife, and your mother with us for the birthday celebrations. We were saddened to hear she needed to visit the hospital during your time with us, but we are glad to know she is doing better. We look forward to welcoming you again soon for a stress free vacation. Thank you for...
