We had two rooms next to each other. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and stocked with all typical supplies. Breakfast buffet is hot and fresh and good to fuel up quickly for a day of site seeing. After one day in the room, we returned late in the evening to find the air condition was leaking on the floor -... More

I realize it is summer and that rates are as high as the humidity in Charleston, but this hotel and its rooms are in need of freshening up and updating. For the money ($200), I would expect better. But it was full and folks were happy at the breakfast so it isn't all bad.

My wife and I spent July 6, 7, and 8 in Charleston. We chose a Hampton Inn to stay at because we are never disappointed with them. This hotel is a nice property with a friendly staff and a great location close to some very good restaurants. The Visitor's Center was across the street and we were able to catch... More

This a great hotel to stay at if you are visiting Charleston. It is located right across the street from the visitors center and all of the free trolley's have drive by the hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming and the rooms were really clean.

Located in a historic bldg near lots of things. Across the street from visitors center and trolley stop that picks up all 3 trolley lines. So convenient. Some historic houses are nearby for touring too. Usual AM bkfst and beds for Hampton. Nice place. Desk attendants were polite and helpful. Would return.

I travel quit a bit for work, and when I stay in Charleston, SC I usually stay here. It is pretty well located (though a few blocks away from the battery if its REALLY hot) with very standard rooms for the Hampton Inn. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel, the staff has never been anything but helpful... More

We look forward to staying here every year. We rate it excellent because of the courtyard room with a few steps to the pool; the tables in the courtyard where we eat breakfast every morning; the very courteous service we get, as well as easy access to downtown. The breakfast is better than most, and milk, juice and coffee are... More

I stay at a ton of Hamptons and they always come through. The hotel needs some help. We got stuck in the smallest room after charging me the highest amount possible and the toilet leaked and ran all night. The next day they gave us a great room with other item comped items and no charge for the night before... More

Book for the location, stay for the hospitality. The front desk (Brandon) and concierge staffs (Henry & Curtis) were delightful gents and a welcoming addition to this hotel. They were helpful with tours, dining and shopping options. Some rooms were renovated and offered a fridge/microwave while others just had a TV. But since our group didn’t travel for the comforts...
