Glad we were not put off by negative reviews. Stayed in a non smoking room on the second floor and we were very satisfied, not a single complaint. The staff was friendly and efficient. We brought our bikes and they cheerfully stored them and took them out for us repeatedly. The breakfast was excellent with many choices including oatmeal which... More

I travel to Charleston on business several times per month, and I've found this hotel the best value in the historic area. I can easily walk or ride the shuttle any place I need to go, so I just park my car and forget it. The hotel staff have always been quite friendly and helpful.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hampton Inn July 24-27. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful; the bell captain helped us in many ways (including securing a taxi) and the breakfast was very good. The room was spotless and very quiet. I have usually been happy with Hampton Inn; I would tag this property as... More

we picked this hotel for a family trip as my wife daughter and mother in law had been here several years back and were very pleased with stay and access to Charleston Visitor center. I was very pleased with the professional, exemplary service provided by the staff from front desk to breakfast staff to other staff. We stayed on first... More

This Hampton Inn was very clean, comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. It almost made me not want to go out. The bed was as comfortable as my bed at home. The location was great but sadly not within walking distance of a lot of attractions. We still needed to drive to most places. It was right off of King... More

We stayed here during a pre-cruise tour of historic Charleston. It's a good location directly across from the Charleston Visitor Center and a trolley stop. Our family party booked two Queen's Court rooms. We had French doors that led directly out to the large beautiful grassy center courtyard plaza and pool. The front desk service personnel were very prompt, knowledgeable... More

Went to Chas. for a little detour for my daughters fresh. orientation at USC. I am a Hilton Honors member, and requested a 2 QB room. Upon arrival on 16 June, we were informed we were upraded to the Ashley room. Quite awesome. 1st floor, close to front desk/breakfast buff. Hampton ppl. know what I mean. But, room is huge,... More

We had two rooms next to each other. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and stocked with all typical supplies. Breakfast buffet is hot and fresh and good to fuel up quickly for a day of site seeing. After one day in the room, we returned late in the evening to find the air condition was leaking on the floor -... More

I realize it is summer and that rates are as high as the humidity in Charleston, but this hotel and its rooms are in need of freshening up and updating. For the money ($200), I would expect better. But it was full and folks were happy at the breakfast so it isn't all bad.

My wife and I spent July 6, 7, and 8 in Charleston. We chose a Hampton Inn to stay at because we are never disappointed with them. This hotel is a nice property with a friendly staff and a great location close to some very good restaurants. The Visitor's Center was across the street and we were able to catch... More
