Hotel is within walking distance of great shopping, dining, and historic sites. Stayed with friends for Bridge run, very close to finish line. Complimentary breakfast is offered. Parking deck on site is max $16/day.

Stayed here for SEWE in Feb, 2015 on Valentine's weekend. Great location for the festival. Great service from front desk and they rapidly accommodated a small fridge needed for medical supplies. Nice room, clean and comfy. Quiet (2nd floor room) other than the people upstairs walking up and down their room for a long time.

when I book a Hampton Inn I have come to expect a certain standard and this property does not meet that standard. check in was unnecessarily difficult and parking is only available at a nearby garage for an additional charge. the desk clerk could not find our reservation, but fortunately we had our confirmation number. the room was dark and... This was our first visit to Charleston and we are already planning next year's return -- to this same Hampton Inn. The hotel meets or exceeds all Hampton benchmarks plus has some charming Charleston features, including its courtyard. The reception staff are very welcoming and efficient. What makes this Hampton so special is that it is just across the street... More

All Hampton Inns are somewhat the same. This one was a little nicer because of the historic feel to it. Nice, clean room; nice, clean bathroom; plenty of hot water. The staff was very helpful and functioned as concierge as well as desk clerk. I personally hate the styrofoam drinking glasses in the room and the breakfast was unhealthful and... More

Thank you so much for your business and review of our hotel. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and sorry for the impression of breakfast. We do have a lot of sweet options for sure. Please know that the cutlery and plates and cups are all made of a bio degradable product that Hampton Inn switched to years... More

Hampton Inn Charleston Historic Section was a beautiful property. The staff was friendly and informative. I asked front desk many questions - such as parking garage, free trolleys, St. Patrick's Day Parade, local seafood eateries, etc. and they were all very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. The room was spotless and very quiet. I had a room with 2 windows that... More

Smallish/narrow (still over 10ft wide) room with lots of large/overstuffed furniture - king bed, nightstands, desk, dresser, bench, easy chair and ottoman. Cheery yellow walls, couple low country prints. Sink and coffee pot in the same room as the toilet. Nice tub and shower. Good breakfast-hot and cold cereals with things to add, breads/pastries/bagels/waffles, canned and some fresh fruit, eggs/ham... More

Great hotel right in the middle of the historic district. Across the street from the visitor's center & a trolley stop. Short walk to King Street, City Market, etc. We had a room on the first floor with access to the courtyard. I would highly recommend one of these rooms. Staff was friendly and attentive. The only downside was the... More

Staying at any one of the major hotel chains is usually a safe move because they maintain certain standards. This Hampton Inn was just as expected. Friendly front desk people, clean, comfortable room, and a very good location for sightseeing by foot. No complaints at all with my stay of three nights.

The place is very historic and i will tell you for the location you cannot beat it. Its pricey for a weekend therefore save a few pennies for it, bacause it is not cheap, but well worth the money. Also, Mr Lamb at the front desk is awesome. Kudos to him and his staff. Well Recommended
