Great hotel, very clean and friendly staff. We had the L shaped corner room and it was very spacious. Breakfast was fine. I love the 24 hour coffee/tea bar. The hotel itself doesn't have any parking but they have a negotiated rate with the garage next door for 16.00 a day. Location was great, tons and tons of restaurants, museums,... More

My two daughters and I stayed here while we looked at College of Charleston. This hotel was exactly as described and what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. What was better than expected was the outstanding friendly service. We felt very welcome and taken care of. The rooms were traditional and were big enough for the three of us,... More

Our first night, the hot water was out and we were kind of questioning our stay. Luckily, the front desk was very kind and the issue was promptly addressed and resolved. We had breakfast there every day we were there and it was wonderful! The lady that runs the breakfast bar was attentive and sweet to all the guests. Rooms... More

I try to stay at Hilton properties when I travel. Although the hotel was nice and the staff very friendly, the location was not what I expected. Long walk to the market place, restaurants, shopping. Ended up moving to a sister property by the market.

I NEVER write reviews, but my experience here was so great, that i had to. The location was great- a little bit further south would have been nice but we were very happy and it is walkable to everything. The childrens museum across the street is awesome! Our room was very clean as was the whole hotel. Our toilet was... More

We were little further away from the action than we wanted to be, but still within easy walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and sights that we planned to visit. Our check was painfully slow, as we were helped by a new trainee. She was very pleasant-just still in the learning stage. We were initially sent to room 225,... More

I am surprised to read some of the negative comments about this hotel. Charleston is a tourist city and hotel rooms are expensive, especially in the historic district. A recent search on Orbitz showed most hotels in this area charging $350-$600/night while the Hampton Inn was under $300. I have stayed several times a few blocks away on Market St... More

What an amazing review! THANK YOU SO MUCH! We really do try to set ourselves apart from other hotels with our value and the amazing people that work here. I have said it before to other reviews but it bears repeating.... The team here simply loves what they do! We can't wait to have you as a guest again soon.... More

Older hotel in an area with quite a bit of construction around it. The location was not the best. A little too north of the action, but there is a free shuttle. The rooms are badly in need of updating, especially the frig/ microwave area. But there was the good free breakfast that Hampton is known for & is the... More

This hotel is just ok. Reserved a non smoking room but got a smoking room. Smelled like cigarettes so I spayed Lysol then it smelled like Lysol the entire time. Poor ventilation I guess and windows don't open. Room was small compared to other king bed rooms at hiltons locations. There was not a mini fridge (even the cheapest hotels... More

I am so sorry that you did not have an amazing time at our hotel. I would like to look into your reservation regarding a smoking and non smoking room if I can, but I would need to ask that you reach out to me at the hotel. We understand that we need to earn your business every time and... More

This hotel is not up to the standards I expect at Hampton Inn properties. Having traveled directly from the Hampton in Savannah, the Charleston hotel was a disappointment. Four things: parking; Savannah has valet parking, though more expensive than your city garage plan, it was much more convenient. Water pressure. There were wide fluctuations in water pressure. The pressure would... More

We are so very sorry that there were issues while a guest of ours. We strive to provide the best possible service and accommodations in the area and feel awful when our goal is not met. I will alert housekeeping to the concern about the sheets to that we do not duplicate that again in the future. Kevin Eichman General... More
