Very nice inside. I would compare this without question to the Meeting Street Hampton where we normally stay while in Charleston. Tucked back in a commercial area but you would never know this in the hotel or on the grounds. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Access to the City of Charleston is a straight shot up Rte 17 (less... more

We were here four nights, so we got a pretty good feel for the operation of this property. The front desk staff needs to improve their attitude somewhat by being more responsive to guest concerns and should show enthusiasm when dealing with guests. The front desk is a resource for guest information, and that information should be given promptly and... more

We truly enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel was attractive; the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We used the business center, admired the pool, and utilized the snack center (food and toiletries are available for sale on site). This was a perfect location for us, as we were touring the plantations. It is not downtown but on this... more

This is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at since we started visiting family here about 5 years ago. This hotel is an easy 15-20 minute drive from downtown. It is a bit further to beaches if your going there. It was extremely clean and in good repair. The room was very clean, the bed was VERY comfortable and... more

I showed up to this hotel to not only celebrate my 5th wedding anniversary, but to also go to a wedding. There were two rooms under my name and when I asked about the rooms, the older woman behind the counter looked at the younger woman and said, "this is the room we've been waiting for." She goes into detail... more

We have patronized this hotel regularly for the last couple of years. Short version of our opinion is that this is the best deal in the Charleston area. Easy access to downtown and other Charleston areas. Facilities are great and staff is very accomodating. Would highly recommend! more

My mom spent several days in the hospital after surgery, and not wanting to burden her - or my dad - our family went down and spent that time in the Hampton Inn & Suites. As a bonus, it meant that we had complimentary breakfast, a jump on lunch by grabbing some extra bagels and fruit from the breakfast bar,... more

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, my husband and I had an enjoyable experience. We were greeted warmly by Kip, the Hotel Manager, who was at the Front Desk. He was friendly and helpful and really seemed like an asset to the hotel. Our room was very spacious, especially for the price, and the bed was really comfortable... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn Charleston/West Ashley. The decor was great, really bright and welcoming, not like your average hotel. The staff was friendly, though not the most efficient. We really appreciated the complimentary breakfast that changed each day, and the evening reception during the week. It was a great welcome to Charleston to have a... more

To be honest, this hotel was excellent in most regards. The rooms were great, the breakfast was free and good, and some members of the staff were extraordinary, but utlimately, I'd stay somewhere else the next time I come to Charleston. The business center in this hotel was a joke. The lone computer was in a meeting room that could... more
