My friend and I stayed here over the long weekend, and it suited our needs perfectly. We wanted to save some money so we chose this hotel. It took about 20 minutes to get into Charleston, but it was very easy to do so. The people at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful. The hotel was quiet and... more

My visit to the Hampton Inn on Daniel Island was for a 2-night stay from May 3-5, 2009. I arrived on Sunday afternoon to find easy check-in and my reservation in good order. I was assigned room 233, a standard 2-double bed room overlooking the pool area. The room was very clean and fresh and the digital thermostat A/C worked... more

This hotel is on Daniel Island so about 10-15 minutes from downtown. They have a shuttle if you want but the drive is not bad. Although it was a fairly new hotel, our room had a few things (shower handle fell off, cracked bathroom counter) that seemed odd. The front desk was cordial and discounted our room as they said... more

I recently stayed at this hotel, and was disappointed. I did not feel like it matched up to the rave reviews that it has received. The place was clean, and breakfast was ok, but nothing special. I found some of the staff at the front desk to be rude. We used the shuttle service to the Family Circle Cup tennis... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn on Daniel Island after returning from a cruise. We loved that they had a shuttle to take us to, and pick us up from the cruise terminal. The shuttle was great, and although we didn't use it for this, also took people to and from Downtown Charleston. The hotel is about... more

In contrast to most previous reviewers, I wish we had stayed in downtown Charleston. We were only in town for one night and a more central location, with parking, would have suited our needs better. Having said that, this is a lovely hotel, quite new and very quiet. It is near professional soccer fields and tennis courts so be prepared... more

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. It is a great place to stay...close to Charleston, yet has the small-town feel of Daniel Island. The staff is welcoming, and the rooms comfortable. more

We stayed here for the July 4th Holiday weekend. The rates for hotels in Charleston and Mount Pleasant were ridiculously high for the holiday, so I started looking at surrounding areas and found Daniel Island. The drive from the hotel into the city is about 15 minutes...likewise, from the hotel to Isle of Palms is about 15, longer to go... more

This hotel is on Daniel Island, not Charleston. Daniel Island seems to have a lot of corporate parks and not so much residential areas. Therefore, the area itself is really not at all interesting. I would say, the location remains reasonably good, however, because of the hotel's proximity to Charleston. The best thing about the hotel ought to be the... more

Overall a good experience. Very nice and relatively new, this hotel is about 10 - 15 minutes from downtown Charleston so you must have a car if you are going to stay here. It was much more affordable than the hotels downtown and very nice. To be honest, it was nice to escape downtown each evening. Breakfast was standard for... more
