Although it was only May it was incredibly difficult to book a hotel in Charleston from the UK for the days we wanted. This seemed a reasonable if still expensive option. It is in an excellent location for the Historic District but it was just an average Marriott but without the reasonable price. We arrived late to find the only... More

We were lucky enough to stay at the Courtyard Marriott Historic District this week. The service is fantastic BUT the real crowning jewel is the concierge desk. Kevin McQuade has set up a library of things to do for a stay in Charleston to satisfy anyone's interest. His goal is to make sure your trip is magical. Because of Kevin's... More

The Marriott Courtyard in the Charleston Historic District was excellent. The hotel is within walking distance of great restaurants and historical sites. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is located in the historic district, which made it convenient. Room was large and comfortable. Parking was not an issue since guests were allowed to use a private lot across the street, if hotel parking was full. Hanging out at the pool was not high on the list because pool area was small and could use some updating.... More

We were in town for just a night and found this to be the best value and location. We wanted to see and do as much as we could in 24 hours! Walked everywhere... The location was central so we could get to Fort Sumter as well as great shopping , museums, and restaurants. It was raining and the front... More

We came to Charleston with two families of four and the kids are all teens so we needed three rooms. They were able to accommodate us comfortably with two king suites and a room with two queens and a cot(we have three girls and a boy who did not want to sleep with his sister). The hotel is very nice... More

I reserved a king room through the hotel reservation line but on check in I found the reservation was for actually for a double queen. The error was mine since I didn't verify what the agent had reserved on the confirmation. The hotel was not going to make it right until I spoke with the house manager who honored my... More

The Courtyard is in a good location. It is three blocks south of the Visitor’s Center where many tours begin and end. It is four blocks west of the Fort Sumter tour boat departure point. It is one block east of King Street where the shopping district and the newer restaurants are located. It is nine blocks north of Broad... More

From the moment we drove up to this centrally located hotel to the moment we left we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The front desk arranged a car to get us to lunch and had umbrellas to rent for the day, which was greatly appreciated. Our room was clean, comfortable and updated with plenty of room for my... More

This is the second time we have stayed here. Great that it's fairly close to downtown area (8 blocks) or so. The only thing I would say is that the rooms do need some attention as well as the hallways.
