Hotel is in a great location with very helpful staff, nice rooms and very good parking. The best feature however is the concierge Kevin McQuade who is outstanding. He knows Charleston like the back of his hand and is excellent at recommending tours and restaurants. His write-ups are superb. On top of this when we left for Savannah he gave... More

This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Charleston. I was able to walk to all the sights, including the Battery waterfront and restaurants from the hotel. Staff and especially the concierge were very friendly and helpful. Free in-room wifi worked well. There's a Starbucks right in the lobby. Only complaint would be that they didn't have an in-room... My husband, daughter and I stayed in Charleston for 4 nights. I really wanted to stay in an inn in Charleston, but thought that the reviews for these upscales hotels had enough negative reviews that I felt, "why would I pay that much money unless there were NO bad reviews. Isn't that what you would expect when you pay that... More

The hotel is in an excellent location! Amenities and service very good. Nice clean rooms. Concierge Kevin McQuade is probably the finest concierge on the planet. Never have I encountered anyone as dedicated and passionate about his work. He makes the stay at this property magical. I would strongly recommend this experience. Just cannot say enough.

Booked this place as a Marriott customer after reading the earlier reviews. Good location and accessible to uptown and downtown. Not a real user of the concierge services so brushed that idea off. SOOoo... Room very clean with fresh shower curtain and liner. Great housekeeping. Good refrigerator, and good air conditioning. We had no view, but it did not matter.... More

We stayed here for 1 night while on our way to Savannah and Hilton Head. We had a day to explore Charleston and were not disappointed! The concierge was amazing! I wish I had gotten her name so I could tell everyone here, but she was great! We got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Huge bathroom and... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. We had a family of 4 (teenagers too). Room was pretty good size and clean. Bathroom was in great shape and we had room to move around in. That is always a plus. Hotel was very busy as there was a fashion show going on, College of Charleston had 3000 new students in town, and... More

I would say the most important thing in Charleston is location, and this hotel meets the need. It is little further away form the super touristy areas, but provides a good base if you want to go some of the great bars and restaurants that are out side of the French Quarter. The common areas were nice and the staff... More

$200 a night is fair for a hotel in a good location in Charleston. The room we were in was nice but there was chipped wood here and there, chipped paint and a small splatter of something on a wall. The bathroom door didn't lock. This hotel is not a quick walk to the water/eastbay but it is close to... More

We have stayed at Marriots before. In fact I am in there rewards program. The staff couldn't have been nicer. There is no real restaurant just a coffee shop type , similar to Starbucks. The room was pretty shoddy. The furniture was all chipped and looked overdue for replacement. We had a room with a balcony, however I wouldn't sit... More
