Booked this place as a Marriott customer after reading the earlier reviews. Good location and accessible to uptown and downtown. Not a real user of the concierge services so brushed that idea off. SOOoo... Room very clean with fresh shower curtain and liner. Great housekeeping. Good refrigerator, and good air conditioning. We had no view, but it did not matter.... More

We stayed here for 1 night while on our way to Savannah and Hilton Head. We had a day to explore Charleston and were not disappointed! The concierge was amazing! I wish I had gotten her name so I could tell everyone here, but she was great! We got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Huge bathroom and... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. We had a family of 4 (teenagers too). Room was pretty good size and clean. Bathroom was in great shape and we had room to move around in. That is always a plus. Hotel was very busy as there was a fashion show going on, College of Charleston had 3000 new students in town, and... More

I would say the most important thing in Charleston is location, and this hotel meets the need. It is little further away form the super touristy areas, but provides a good base if you want to go some of the great bars and restaurants that are out side of the French Quarter. The common areas were nice and the staff... More

$200 a night is fair for a hotel in a good location in Charleston. The room we were in was nice but there was chipped wood here and there, chipped paint and a small splatter of something on a wall. The bathroom door didn't lock. This hotel is not a quick walk to the water/eastbay but it is close to... More

We have stayed at Marriots before. In fact I am in there rewards program. The staff couldn't have been nicer. There is no real restaurant just a coffee shop type , similar to Starbucks. The room was pretty shoddy. The furniture was all chipped and looked overdue for replacement. We had a room with a balcony, however I wouldn't sit... More

This was our first time staying here. The rooms were nice and the location is within a few blocks of the city market. We usually stay at the old citadel which is now The Embassy Suites, but they were booked for the night we wanted. So we tried the Marriott. I missed the character, history and frankly the free breakfast... More

This hotel would've gotten 4 stars but Kevin, THE concierge, warranted a full star on his own. Check with Kevin upon check in. He will hook you up!! My wife and I checked in with only a few sight seeing ideas. After a short visit with Kevin, we had our 5 day visit planned out. I must say, ALMOST everything... More

My husband and I were planning an extended long weekend in Charleston after his business meeting. When choosing hotels, I narrowed it down to two, based on reviews of the Courtyard and their Head Concierge, Kevin McQuade and also being Marriott frequent travelers, we chose this hotel, we were not disappointed! I spoke with Kevin twice before arriving and he... More

I am a platinum elite Marriott Rewards member, and Courtyards are my preference when I travel. Everyone from check in to check out was very professional. Our room did have a musty smell upon entering, which we were okay with, but might be offensive to some. Also, most Courtyards have some small microwaves available upon request. I know there in...
