Clean, very friendly, quiet rooms.. Hotel itself is great, but has no restaurant. What they have is a restaurant that is only open for buffet breakfast.. Not too much around nor very near this hotel unless you are a hiker. Across the street from the vistor's center which is convenient.. They do offer a free shuttle into town, but did... More

I extensively researched the hotels in Historic Charleston for a May 2013 trip with my husband & another couple. There were several hotels in our budget that would have been a good location. However after reading the wonderful reviews of the concierge at the Courtyard Marriott, I actually picked this hotel for us to stay in due to those reviews.... More

Kevin McQuade, the concierge at this hotel, made our vacation to Charleston and the surrounding areas, an unforgettable experience. This man has incredible passion for his city. He offered us a wealth of off-the- beaten- track experiences. Many of his recommendations cannot be found in guidebooks. Thanks to Kevin's enthusiasm and knowlege, we enjoyed Charleston from unique perspectives. Can't recommend... More

The hotel was fine and ideally situated, but the concierge Kevin made it special. Starting with a personal invitation to utilize the concerge services posted in the room to our direct communications with Kevin, it put an usually positive spin on our stay. Aside from the personal services (reservations, etc.), Kevin had prepared written (also personalized) reviews, directions, and comments... More

When planning our trip to Savannah and Charleston, an acquaintance who had done those cities about a year ago said we had to stay at the Marriott just because of the concierge--Kevin McQuade. So we made the reservation and about a week or so before the trip called to speak with Kevin. He called back right away and suggested that... More

This was our first trip to Charleston and we choose this hotel based off of using our points and the terrific reviews with their concierge staff. The location turned out to be fantastic! It was right in the middle of getting around this beautiful city. The room was clean and quiet, beds were comfy, and bathroom had lots of counter... More

We just got home from a 4 night stay, and I can not say enough great things. The room was comfortable, the location was extremely convenient with easy walks everywhere, and the staff was top notch! Elizabeth, the concierge, gave us fantastic recommendations, made us reservations at some terrific restaurants, and was extremely helpful in customizing our visit. The front... More

We spent just one night at this hotel using points, were completely satisfied and would stay again and recommend it to others. The hotel was gutted and renovated about 2 years ago so it was in very good shape. The decor is contemporary and very appealing. Breakfast in the Bistro was convenient and reasonably priced. While we did have to... More

My daughter and I spent three nights in Charleston at this hotel recently, and due to the excellent recommendations of Kevin, we had reservations at the best local restaurants, maps to the most beautiful streets and Kevin's map of Magnolia Plantation, with spot on suggestions for what to see first at the plantation. Our quiet rooms were nice and adjoining,... More

Dear swimmer067, Thank you for staying with us in Charleston. We appreciate your feedback very much. I am very apologetic for the lack of cleanliness of carpet in your room. We continue to increase our levels of inspection in housekeeping and we apologize if we didn’t get the carpet spotless in your room. We have seen much improved guest satisfaction... More

We stayed here on points. Charleston is an expensive town but it is a must to stay in the historic district and be in walking distance of everywhere. We recommend renting bikes to really see ALL of Charleston. There are two bike rental shops close to the hotel. The on site lower level parking ($16 a day) is nice, especially... More
