Prior to choosing a place to stay, I read many reviews on sites such as this. My daughter and I traveled to Charleston in order for her to visit the College of Charleston. We walked through Charleston Place on a previous visit and we both had a desire to return one day and stay in this hotel. Before deciding on... more

Honestly, this hotel was our last resort due to the last minute planning of our trip to Charleston and it being a holiday weekend. Everything was sold out so we were happy to find something so last minute. Charleston Place is a very nice hotel with a boutique feel, but a little over priced. The rooms were very nicely decorated... more

Our room had a very noisy air conditioner that started and stopped with a loud thud. The maintenance manager attempted to silence it to no avail. Not only that but to reach the elevator we had to walk 2 ginormous hallways. Pets are allowed in all the hotel rooms and my teenager developed auch a rash from either pet dander... more

Highlights - Nice gifts from hotel for our anniversary, balcony room, discounted room rate with food credit, service very good as always. Ate at Palmetto Cafe. Really excellent food. $85 for lunch (no booze, but including tip) is normally a bit steep for us (thank you food credit!) Marco is an excellent waiter. Downside - Whirlpool is closed. No notice... more

My husband and I have been vacationing in Charleston for over 6 years now. We've stayed at over a dozen hotels and B&B's along the way, but won't stay anywhere else now. After alot of places that were nice, but nothing special, this one felt right at home for us. Yes - it is more costly than alot of other... more

We reviewed the ratings on the top 5 hotels in Charleston SC this was a very hard decision. Based on the Club Floor amenities we chose this hotel for our stay. Its location is great, Parking is either valet $20 per day or self park in a nearby parking garage $12 per day. The hotel is very nice, and gives... more

I recently stayed at the Charleston Place for a conference. Unfortunately, because of our busy schedule, I did not get to take advantage of the many amenities this hotel had to offer. Nonetheless, I was truly impressed with this hotel. When you first walk into the hotel, your are greeting with a beautiful lobby, fresh flowers, and extremely polite and... more

The location is fabulous... Stay on the concierge level the service is wonderful, lot's of food, you'll never go hungry. Rooms are nice and the location is convenient to anything that you would want to see. It was the second time we stayed at this hotel... Just be careful that they don't charge you for the mini bar in the... more

My husband had a recent business trip to Charleston which was a perfect time for me to accompany him for a quick taste of Charleston. We elected to stay on the club level at Charleston Place and it was incredible. Not only were the rooms absolutely lovely but the service from fabulous. The topper was the surprise delivery of chocolate... more

This beautiful hotel specializes in customer service. When we arrived in our room, a delicious chocolate mousse cake was awaiting us with Happy Anniversary engraved in white chocolate. A bottle of champayne accompanied this lovely gift. Dining at the hotel is also something to not miss. Not only is the food some of the best in Charleston but, again, the... more
