This is a great hotel, very central for Charleston restaurants and shopping. The hotel resturant is excellent and the bar very welcoming, My wife and I enjoyed our weekend stay and would thoroughly recommend Charleston Place for your stay in Charleston, it is by far the best hotel available. more

I spent two midweek nights at Charleston Place on business and had an exceptional time exploring both the city and the region. For the most part, the hotel reinforced my fantastic experience. It’s hard not to fall in love with Charleston Place since it’s so unbelievably well located on King Street in the heart of Downtown Charleston, a place which... more

I have stayed at the hotel many times over the years and it was always wonderful. This time I noticed that the property seemed rather shabby and worn out in the furnishings. The halls needed more lighting and the rooms needed updating. The staff as always was very helpful and polite. We had breakfast everyday in the Palmetto Cafe and... more

We stayed here for a week in April. A beautiful hotel located in a beautiful city. Our room was on the third floor and it was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. The airconditioning was slightly noisy, but not too bad. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The lobby bar was wonderful. We never ate at the restaurants,... more

I recently returned from a three night stay at Charleston Place. I am going to give as detailed a review as possible in order to answer any questions that someone may have as a prospective guest. I was on a group rate of $299/night, which seemed to be about $100 less than you'd pay off the street. The 3 stars... more

As the General Manager of Charleston Place I was very pleased that a recent guest with the username “mrmemedoes” took the time to post such a thorough review of our property. While I am very appreciative of the many positive comments this guest had about our location, our staff, and service, I was disappointed to read the negative comments. It...

I stayed here with a relative who was at the Charleston Place for a business trip. I found it to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in, and I have stayed in several recently in both the US as well as Europe and far western Asia. The spa was lovely and the bar had a wonderful atmosphere.... more

I recently stayed at the Charleston Place Hotel on business. I am a native of Charleston, but have moved away and have always wanted to stay here. I have always enjoyed the shops and the Lobby which are gorgeous. The rooms and the hotel above the lobby are in desperate need of an update. The bathrooms were OK, but they... more

We very last minute booked this hotel for in town romantic getaway. The hotel is centrally located downtown. i loved this and everything was within walking distance. I did not feel that safe after dark as things closed up quickly and security guards patrolling the area with well lit flash lights. We choose a Greek Restaurant right by the hotel... more

I stayed at Charleston Place on business this past week. It is a lovely hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and had beautiful antique style furnishings. I noticed some of the wood was looking worn on the armoire which would suggest that it may be time for some touchups. I ordered room service the first night, from the separate menu... more

My husband planned a birthday surprise for me at the Charleston Place, which we have stayed at many times before and have always loved. Our room was clean and overall our experience during that visit was good. After returning from our trip I realized we accidentally left our garment bag in the hotel room. I called the hotel and was... more

This response is to the post from a user named “gat0rgirl”. I am very pleased that this guest is a frequent guest with us and has enjoyed her previous stays. However, I am very disappointed to hear that during her most recent stay, she accidentally left some items in her guest room. We understand that it can be easy to...
