Needed some time to relax. This is a great place BUT I must point out that Eddie with Galaxy Transportation saved us so many times!!! Traveling with kids or adults he can accommodate ypur size and entertainment needs! We were drenched in a sudden rain, we called Eddie and he was there immediately to ssve us, warm us and comfortably... More

Each time I opened the Bathroom door, it hit the corner of the bed or, if I was not careful, one of my knees! As soon as you stood up from the commode, there's no need to walk to the vanity. You may even need to take care to avoid bumping into it. The tub shower curtain swishes each times... More

Very convenient to any downtown Charleston activities. Good restaurants everywhere and shopping nearby on King St. Parking deck ($) directly across the street, but you will not need the car in town. Pros: location, good quality toiletries, excellent beds as expected at Marriott, comfortable room with mini-fridge. Flat screen tv just ok quality, excellent wi-fi (free for Platinum guests, probably... More

Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. Amenities were good and the bed was so comfortable, I did not want to leave (I am a huge stickler for bedding). The location was great and literally a block away from the shopping (hotel is one block from H&M). I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and used marriott points-no complaints at all. Everyone at the hotel was super nice-concierge was helpful and Catfish at the restaurant was a hoot! Easy walking to all Charleston locations. Rooftop pool is small, but pleasant with comfy loungers. Decent gym. Rooms are nice and have mini fridges. Not sure what people... More

Quaint downtown hotel. Only major gripe is that their website claims that the outdoor pool is heated. It is not. Upon questioning some of the hotel staff, they all said that it was never heated. False advertising and with 3 kids who love to end the day in the hotel pool, we checked out a day earlier than planned. Room... More

Thank you for staying with us at the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel and we greatly appreciate the feedback you have shared with us. It is disheartening to hear that you received miscommunication in regards to our pool being heated. Our pool is in fact heated year round to 78 degrees. I’m very sorry that you received information otherwise. I... More

Pretty good hotel with a cozy lounge off the lobby. Nice staff and well equipped rooms. Our corner room on the 5th floor was quiet with no street noise. Our room was handicap accessible sized, so very roomy. It is by far not worth $400-500/night though. Breakfast & wifi were not included with that price. There was a little snafu... More

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking. The rooms were extremely clean. The hotel appeared to be fairly new. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this location to anyone. It is very close to a mall and plenty of places to eat.

The Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel exceeded all our expectations. The location is perfect....short walks to all the sights, shopping and restaurants in the historic district. We had a large room with sofa, chair, desk, coffee maker. fridge, large TV, large bathroom and wonderfully quiet. The staff was wonderful. The Wentworth Bistro served excellent breakfast, and good bistro style meals.... More
