You really cannot get a better location if you are staying in Charleston. It's right in the middle of everything. The staff was exceptional! They went out of their way to make sure we had a great vacation and knew where all the "hot spots" were. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Charleston!

I just spent a wonderful birthday weekend at this hotel. It's perfectly located in the historic district close to great shopping on King Street, fabulous restaurants and historic landmarks. The restaurant In the Renaissance is also good for breakfast and late night desserts. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The Renaissance Charleston Historic District is a nice hotel in a great downtown Charleston location. It is very convenient to many restaurants and shopping. It is easy to walk to many areas of downtown. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet. we did not hear much from other rooms or the hallway. Housekeeping did an excellent... I live about 25 minutes outside of Charleston, but I LOVE this beautiful city. My aunt and I decided to spend a night downtown and be tourists. We purchased the room at this hotel via www.Priceline.com using the name your own price option. We got a great deal and were very pleased. Living close we stopped in to take a... More

With no Mothers Day lunch reservations we were driving to the hotel on Sunday, 10 May and called the hotel enroute to ask for assistance. Fortunately we spoke with Susan Pearson in Customer Service and she worked hard to find a table for our party of 4. Within an hour she called back with reservations booked at the "Grocery Restaurant"... More

This was a great hotel. Very nice staff and the rooms were large, beds very comfortable. We decided to have dinner here one evening and the food was great. We had the fish tacos which were amazing. Very nice waitress who gave us some info on what to see in Charleston. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a... More

We stayed here at the beginning of a tour and were very pleased with the lovely accommodations, excellent service and superb breakfast buffet. The location is very good for wandering the nearby, charming streets, and catching a free trolley ride around town. Two fun restaurants with delicious food within walking distance are Jestine's and Hank's.

We just returned home from a long weekend, Thursday thru Monday. I can't say enough about the staff or the hotel. From the minute you walk in and Jay opens the door for you to Savannah at the front desk (even though I didn't get a balcony room). They were both very friendly and helpful every time we encountered them.... More

DO NOT STAY HERE! We booked to stay at this hotel for a work trip to Charleston that we were also turning into a couple's getaway. We just had our daughter four months ago so this was going to be our first trip away as a couple. When we got in on Thursday night the room we were taken to... More
