Very nice stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet stay. Within walking distance of great shopping, City Market and waterfront park. Bar staff was great and really took good care of us. Nice beer and scotch selection.

I was so disappointed in my stay here. Yes, the location is great but not worth spending over $500 a night. I have stayed at hotels for much less and have been treated better (nicer) and recieved more for my money. No perks at this hotel. They charge $19 for valet parking and $12 if you park yourself. If you... More

Thank you very much for staying with us and for your feedback. I agree that the hotel’s location is incredible but want to assure you that we aspire to make the entire guest experience incredible as well. I apologize that we missed that mark during your stay with us. Given the amount of exposure Charleston has received in recent years... More

Located between King and Meeting, you couldn't ask for a better location. Our package deal included breakfast and parking. The parking was the asset as parking in that area of Charleston is hard to come by. Everything is within walking distance of the hotel...all the shops on King...all of the tours (both water and carriage). The room was average, but... More

Thanky you very much for your feedback. I agree that the hotel's location is incredible and am glad that you were able to take advantage of the incredible shopping options on King Street as well as the "Holy City's" unique carriage and harbor tours. Our goal is for you entire experience to be special and I'd appreciate any direct feedback... More

Charming hotel, staff, room, shower, even a bus boy!...Very glad we chose this hotel. We've got a room for a very low price (100 bucks). The only downside is you have to pay for internet and parking. It is situated in the very center of the city, close to fancy shopping...

I am a platinum Marriot rewards member and while this hotel is good it is by no means a level 8 Marriott brand. It has some of the basics for a high end brand. What it did not have: no safe in the room, no make-up mirrors, no bathrobes, no concierge level, and I found no room service menu in... More

I reserved a block of rooms here for my wedding this Fall and everything went great. All the staff were so accommodating from the booking the rooms to checking out. The staff accommodated lots of little requests that I had throughout my stay. The only negative to note is that the rooms are on the smaller side. This is not... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. A surprise 50th birthday for my sister! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed the piano player, added much to the atmosphere. Loved the game day snacks and appetizers in the lobby. "Mr. Bill", our bellhop was so friendly and helpful. We loved the free bike rentals. We took advantage and rode through the... More

I stayed here for the first time this month. The hotel is situated in the historic distance within walking distance to everything. I had a lovely room with a balcony. Awesome staff and charm! Had awesome rack of lamb at Wentworth Grille. I will definitely stay here again.

Having stayed at many luxury hotels in my lifetime I would not put this one in that category. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bar downstairs had the best crab cakes and adequate wine list, but could not drink my Martini. Central location was wonderful. I could walk to just about everything. Room was tight with a view of a... More

This is a very nice hotel in the historic district. It is hard to complain about something so nice except that this property is not as nice as other Renaissance Hotels I have stayed in around the world. The personnel are pleasant and most helpful to sceptic that the concierge was not well versed in things around Charleston and wasn't... More
