The Renaissance Charleston is a comfortable place to stay located in a perfect location off of King Street. The rooms are large and comfortable along with a staff that is service oriented. There is a bar and restaurant on-site but you can find dine at amazing eateries just a few footsteps out the door. I stay here mostly when I... More

The staff at check in was nice and moved quickly to get me in my room even though I was early. The restaurant / bar management is condescending and needs to learn southern hospitality. It would be accurate to describe him as rude. Fortunately, the bartender was around most of the time to serve and he was awesome. This property... More

We came to Charleston with a group of friends to eat, drink and be merry. He Renaissance is in the perfect location - in walking distance to everything. Our rate included breakfast. The buffet was okay but nothing to write about. The rooms are comfortable. We watched football in the hotel bar. The wine and drink list is good.

While unremarkable in appearance, the hotel offered a good experience at a decent price-$-179 per night. My room was a typical Marriott room. It had an adequate number of outlets, and was clean and of a decent size. Service was good, including a timely room service breakfast delivery.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years for business and it has served the need well and I've usually had no problems. As noted by others, parking is non-existent, but there is a private garage across the street where you park. the old cardboard entry passes have been replaced by a modified room key, which works... We go to Charleston several times a year, but this was our first stay at this location. I had contacted the Hotel in advance to make several requests and these were all taken care of prior to our arrival.. Like many businesses in The District, on-site parking is non-existent, but there is a private deck just across the street and... More

Went to beautiful Charleston for a wedding. Picked because it was close to the venue after other locations sold out. For a Marriott the lobby area was beautiful however; I have stayed at better. Restaurant and service was horrible. Check out charming surrounding restaurants and cafes instead. Had two rooms both were average. Based on my stay in other Marriott... More

This pretty hotel is in a nice, convenient location for visiting the historic district. Situated between King Street and East Bay Street you can easily walk everywhere in the historic district. Lots of shops and restaurants right out your door. If you make a left out the front door and a quick left on the street go a couple doors... More

I stayed here for three nights with my mother and sisters during a chilly girls weekend in November. We had two rooms in the hotel and we were all very happy with our stay. The hotel is located within walking distance of great Charleston restaurants and historic sights. Breakfast in the morning is done very well and there is a... More

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The room gives you good space to move around and very nice windows that sun light came thru. The service is outstanding.
