This was my third time visiting charleston! I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. It was so beautiful! I felt like I was at a resort. I enjoyed hanging out at the bar/lounge. The food was delicious! You must try the Pimiento cheese!! It was fabulous! All of the staff members were so friendly. Nicole and Shelby at the front... More

I visited charleston many times and this was my first stay at the Renaissance. I have to stay this was my most enjoyable stay yet. The hotel was beautiful! Rooms were comfortable and clean! The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were always greeted with a smile. In the hotel lobby there was a nice selection of sweets... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Just a couple of steps out the door and you are in the heart of historic Charleston. The staff was amazing and the rooms were extremely comfortable. Had a chance to chat with Shelby at the front desk and she gave great recommendations for restaurants to try and fun things to do in... More

I stayed at the Charleston Renaissance Marriott recently on a conference for work. I was very impressed with how smoothly the conference ran: there were none of the typical problems that you usually find with conferences - the wifi was set up and password was available from the start, all of the A&V equipment worked without a hitch, the room... While this hotel is clean and the rooms are a decent size I was a little disappointed not to find any "Southern charm" to it. I guess I thought it would have a little more character than a standard Renaissance. However, it's a nice hotel, the staff is great and it's just blocks from basically anything you'd want to do.... The location is hard to beat, and probably why it is expensive (other than just Charleston itself). Rooms are great quality. Breakfast is okay - eat elsewhere unless you have a free voucher. Bar has okay selection. If you don't care for location, also consider Courtyard (either one) or the Marriott (this is the furthest out). If you have the... More

The hotel is great. The lobby is a bit more modern and newer than the floors or the rooms, but that is admittedly nit-picking, because we enjoyed the hotel very much and the rooms are still very nice. It is in a great location, walkable to pretty much everything in the Historic District. Most importantly, the staff was friendly, professional,... More

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary at the Renaissance hotel in downtown Charleston and we had a fabulous stay. The staff at this hotel demonstrated southern hospitality at it's finest! EVERY single staff member went out of their way to greet us through out our stay -- We were given warm smiles from the front desk, housekeeping, security,... More

Love our weekend getaways to Charleston and this is our go-to place to stay. Service is usually quite good and they do remember your name from visit to visit. We favor the location as we are able to walk to most anywhere. It's great to park the car on Friday and pick it up Sunday morning. Bar atmosphere is pleasing... More

Not what we have expected for the price. Granted the valet guys were great, there was an unfounded fire alarm last night, some odd looking stain on the robe, oh yeah & the staff left our door ajar when sort of cleaning our room. Not to mention 2 poorly mixed drinks cost $28 after tip. Bottom line, i just expected... More

Thank you very much for staying with us and for offering your feedback. I'm excited that you thought the valet team was great (I agree with your sentiment) and am excited that you discovered a couple of great spots to eat in downtown Charleston and at Isle of Palms. However, I'm also disappointed that your entire hotel experience did not... More
