My friend and I stayed for a long weekend at the Joseph Aiken Mansion Home. We had a wonderful time and the property owners are fantastic. The parking is INCLUDED and it is within walking distance to everything downtown. My only issues is if street traffic bothers you to bring an extra fan or ear plugs. And the street sensor... More

Unfortunately, the owner decided to turn the short stay rooms into long term rental units. I booked a room for our wedding weekend in October. The way I had to find out was an automated message saying my card would be refunded with NO explanation. 2 weeks later and the owner has still not returned my phone calls. I had... More

Our previous stay was excellent - we have upcoming reservations and learned indirectly that the facilty was being converted to long-term rentals. Communications were very poor and this chnage is very distruptive to our plans. We did receive a credit for our deposit after contacting the facilty.

Just wanted to reach out to all of our friends and let you know that effective May 19th, 2013, I will no longer be affiliated with the Historic Joseph Aiken Carriage House. It has been an extreme pleasure to get to know all the wonderful people from all over the world who have from time to time chosen to stay... More

My husband and I stayed at the Carriage House for two nights. It had many great qualities but could use some improvements. I will go over the good points first. This room was actually a suite which consisted of a large bedroom with its own private walled in patio. We stayed in room A. Besides being extemely clean, it was... More

My girlfriends and I rented out two of the Carriage House suites for a long girls' weekend in Charleston. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations! Each suite is like its own apartment and the 1.5 bathrooms felt like a luxury. Thad met us upon our arrival and was always accessible to answer any questions and give recommendations. The location is... More

I just returned from my Son's wedding at Boone Hall in Charleston. I booked the Carriage House as the Hotels were so outrageously expensive for my needed dates as a result of the garden and home show. I could not believe the carriage house. We stayed in suite C. Location great and the accommodations were excellent. There is also parking... More

My mother & daughter & I headed to Charleston for Spring Break for some family history research, as well as vacation. The Carriage House was incredible! There are only 4 rooms in the Carriage House, & we took the top floor. Each room is basically a fully furnished apartment, with a full-sized kitchen, living room, 1 1/2 baths, and bedroom... More
