We stayed here 2 nights in April while visiting the Charleston area. We were very impressed by the size of the RV sites, the cleanliness, and the scenic beauty of the park! It was so quiet and serene that we felt like we were miles from the city, but it was just a short drive into Charleston and to other... More

My grandkids and I love this campground... summer or winter. This is our favorite way to spend New Year's eve. There's SO much to do there. During the Christmas season the light display is one of the best we've ever seen and we really enjoy taking the train ride through the park to view the lights. There are special events... More

This place stands out among campgrounds and RV parks. The sites are spacious with a lot of privacy. Everything is green with lots of trees and shrubs. The are full hookups if you are using an RV. We have a small trailer and usually feel dwarfed by the giants parked next to us. Not at James Island. The campground is... More

This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed at for amenities and location. For RV campers there are full hookups, minus cable, camp store, propane, laundry, clean bathrooms, okay gravel sites and a great park for walking, biking, fishing, etc. There are huge, grassy dog parks, separated for large and small dogs, with lake for swimming with the gators.... My husband and I, his two brothers and their wives camped here for several nights in October 2012. We camped in two popup campers so we had to use the restroom and shower facilities at the campground. The bathhouses were very clean and nice! They seemed to be serviced regularly as well. The campground is laid out in loops and... More

What an awesome campground tucked into the middle of over 600 acres of beautiful nature! Walking trails, playgrounds, lakes and rivers, fishing dock, swinging chairs, splash park, dog park, just so much to do here! Spot was pretty level, huge with lots of trees and plants for privacy and hookups worked great. No cable but antenna picked up several channels.... More

This municipal campground is situated in a reasonably large park. The biking trails are excellent, the camping area is very clean, showers are excellent and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. It is a 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston and the island has access to all the stores you may need. (Even a great fresh fish and seafood... More

You are charged $1 per person, and it is definitely worth. Tons to do, water, dog park, rock climbing, Christmas lights, camping... You name it they have it. Beautiful land that is tended to and kept extremely nice. Best park in Charleston. It has arguably the best dog park in Charleston. The only improvement would be to make the area... More

We were here for a second visit, the 22 - 25 of December, and we were dazzled by the Christmas Lights and Santa's village. It is beyond special. It's fabulous. The RV Park? Well, OK, but perhaps average at best. We were placed close to the laundry mat area, which was buzzing with noise all night. The small market was... More
