As a nature lover I especially enjoy JICP! It’s peaceful, relaxing and a great place to get away from the city and immerse yourself in nature. The scenery is beautiful. It’s a good place to see what the natural environment of the area is like as well what Palmetto trees grown/look like naturally. This is nothing like a city park.... more
This park is very well maintained with great bike/hiking trails, dog park, clean RV sites with full hookups and very quiet. We don't tow a vehicle with our RV, so the shuttle into Charleston was great. They also have a shuttle to Folly Beach. We didn't know about the holiday lights, but they are apparently in the top 10 nationwide.... more
Recently spent several days/nights in this beautiful county campground within a very close drive from downtown Charleston, SC. Always had a hot shower and the park is kept up very nicely. We just returned from our family reunion in Charleston South Carolina. This area was choosen as it was half way for everybody travelling. We were pleasently surprised by Charleston's charms with something for everybody. Some of us stayed at the campground at James Island County Park. The camping was nice and clean and gated.
