We spent a weekend recently at the Belevedere Inn..not worth the money. There was construction outside, we arrived before 2:00 pm, and were told to come back later, rather than letting us put luggage inside. Home is quite nice, and rooms are OK..however, service leaves a lot to be desired. Coffee pot was old, and not working, in upstairs refreshment... More

The Belvedere is a charming B&B that had been well restored and is adorned with nice touches form the owner. It is full of neat antiques (furniture, china, silver) and has a very comfortable feel to it. Our room was clean and spacious. Contrary to what I have read in some other reviews, the manager (Joanne) is a very pleasant... More

Now under new management, guests will be delighted with the new BELVEDERE CHARLESTON. Pamela and Ronald Wyman bring years of experience in the hospitalitiy industry. The late, great "Wyman House" in New York City was their previous endeavor. They successfully operated the New York property for many years and are now happy to call Charleston home! They look forward to... More

My husband & I stayed overnight at the Belvedere recently. We live about 3 hrs away & decided to take a quick getaway to Charleston. Our experience was very nice. The home itself is beautiful & looks just like the photos on their website. Upon arriving we were nicely greeted by Joanne. She gave us a tour & showed us... More

I stumbled onto the Belvedere by dumb luck when my husband forgot to book a room at the conference rate at a local hotel for his academic meetings. This turned out to be one of his luckier memory lapses. The Belvedere is an elegant Southern mansion with character and charm. A hotel is just a hotel. The Belvedere will make... More

The Belvedere is a wonderful spot, full of stuff...pictures, books, bric a brac, so it is almost an adventure walking about from room to room, bumping into one curiosity after another. It is Southern in the best oif ways....relaxed, but still attentive to every detail. The breakfast was custom ordered and very good. The bedroom comfortable and well furnished. The... More

This was our third stay at the Belvedere and we will definitely return! The first time I discovered the website just by chance and called Joanne, the manager, who was able to book us on short notice. She was so gracious and fun! The next trip my husband and I built our vacation around the stay at the Belvedere and... More

We had long looked forward to our return visit to this beautiful, fair city. Unfortunately, the gentile charm of Charleston did not extend to our stay at the Belvedere B&B. We are just thankful that this unpleasant experience is the only one that we have been unfortunate enough to encounter on our many excursions to the area. The Belvedere is... More

The Belvedere itself is a very pretty home. It was very homey and it was obvious the owner wanted his personal touches- i.e. family photos etc. The bedroom was about the size I had expected- nothing huge but comfortable. The rooms however do not have cable on the tiny TV nor did the TV even have a reasonable reception of... More

This place is definately not a place for us to recommend to others. We agree with the last review as we did not feel very at home. It felt like we were staying in a hotel just coming and going. The room we stayed in, The Frampton Room, had such an incredibly small shower that you could barely move. Attention... More

Find somewhere else....the reception was cool, treated as if you were given the privilege to stay there (true, but don't be overt about it.) Breakfast wasn't--continental only. Also, staff never mentioned construction work being done directly in front of the Inn which blocked the view of the lake...nor did they offer a reduction in price. The house is beautiful, renovation... More
