My wife and I got married here this past October and absolutely loved it! The staff was incredible, providing suggestions and answering all questions that we had during the planning process. I will note that we got married here on a Friday as a Saturday wedding was incredibly expensive just to rent the venue, let alone adding the $15k food... More

A dream Southern Plantation wedding. What a beautiful place with efficient and friendly service. It's private landing boardwalk provided a perfect place to view the sunset. The marque tent was so spacious and well decorated. The run of the House allowed private cosy conversations to take place in. Would highly recommend it for a wedding.

We attended a wedding recently and the property is exceptional for a reception! There are many rooms utilized, in addition to the tent that was set up so it never seemed crowded. The pier was fun to walk down and take photos ... especially of the gorgeous sunset. The grounds were beautifully decorated! The food was great and the service... More

Recently attended a wedding here and the weather, setting and everything was perfect. Jackie, the wedding planner was outstanding. The food and drinks were perfect. Absolutely no complaints. The photographers were very professional and were never imposing.

My daughter and son-in-law recently married here and it was a beautiful ceremony. Many good memories for the future. However, many of the bridal party took a cold shower the day of the ceremony, includung the bride. There is only 1 hot water heater for this facility. On the night of the wedding reception, we had also booked, and the... More

My husband and I got married here in 2007....and while much of the property has been changed to make it into a "venue" type place for weddings, etc.--it has not lost its charm. Gorgeous setting that really makes you feel like you're in your own little world. Comfortable rooms and beds.

We loved Lowndes Grove! The main house, guest house and grounds are beautiful. The location is great and there is plenty of free parking which is very difficult to find in downtown Charleston. The trees and river are gorgeous to look at and it feels like you are at your own private resort. In early 2008 the property was renovated... More

My husband and I spent the first 3 nights of our honeymoon at Lowndes Grove, in early June. Driving from the airport to the plantation, we were surprised to find ourselves traveling into Charleston’s residential neighborhoods, but once we cleared the front gates of the estate, we were transported back in time to antebellum days. The Lowndes Grove mansion sits... More
