This one is close to Battery Park and is a very quiet place to stay. Booked this place as a birthday present for my mom as she loves the antebellum homes. When booked, I was charged an extra $80 for having 2 couples sleep in the same room with 2 queen beds. Should have went with my instinct and booked... More

By any measure, this is a wonderful, historic property, built in 1739. The location is near Battery Park and close to downtown Charleston sites and restaurants. There are only two rooms and both are located on the third floor, which is quite a climb and must be negotiated carefully to avoid damage to walls or stair railings. The stairs had... More

We took a delightful trip to Charleston for our first wedding anniversary. I was happy to find the Thomas-Lamboll house available for our last minute getaway. Marie and her husband reside in this beautiful antebellum home, offering up two rooms on the third story for guests and including a complimentary breakfast (biscuits, tea, coffee, fresh fruit). We stayed in the... More

We were welcomed warmly by our hostess Marie and given a bit of history as we arrived. Our room was furnished and decorated nicely keeping with the time period of the home. We stayed on the third floor of the home which afforded us wonderful views of the city scape of Charleston. We walked to the Battery, East Bay, King... More

What a quaint B & B located in the heart of Charleston. Owner was gracious and hospitable. Made us feel right at home. Furnished to the 1700 time period of when the house was built. Beautiful 3rd floor balcony off our room overlooking the roofline of Charleston.

Staying at Lamboll House was like getting a real taste of life in old Charleston. Marie, the woman who runs, it is lovely and very hospitable. She really went out of her way to make me feel at home and accommodated. She kindly responded to my request for oatmeal for breakfast and even served fresh berries. The room was huge... More

The positives: This large, historic, 275 year old home is worth seeing--just for the experience of the home itself. It is furnished with period furniture and paintings, and the view from the 3rd story balconey is magnificent. Our room was large with two queen sized beds, one which we didn't use. Lots of space to spread out in. The location... More

We made our reservation based on the good reviews we read and agree that the location is great, that the room was clean, our beds were amazingly comfortable, and the hosts gracious. The third floor veranda outside our room offered a rooftop view of the city. What we did not see in the reviews was that the bedrooms were on... More

This was a quaint, old historic home in a wonderful part of downtown Charleston. The house was close to the battery and many nice restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood was just lovely with all the old, restored, historic homes and live oaks, and beautiful landscaping everywhere! it was quiet at the house and we enjoyed sitting on the 3rd floor... I liked the residences because it was exactly what I was looking for. Thomas Lamboll House is located in the heart of Charleston downtown, the most beautiful area. It is within a couple of streets just about any boutique or restaurant you could want to visit during your stay in Charleston. The home is very unique with a lot of... More
