This was a perfect stay for us. We loved the space & REALLY loved the porch and the view. The location is great. It's an easy walk to most of the things we wanted to do in town, but just far enough away from the main shopping & dining area to be very quiet. The neighborhood is lovely to walk... More

The good...and it is VERY good: the location and the rooms. You probably can't beat the view in Charleston from the deck, looking directly across the harbor to Ft Sumter. The rooms and furnishings are also grand, though we wished the sitting and bedrooms had been switched so we could have enjoyed the sunrise over the water from bed. However,... More

My wife and I have been visiting Charleston for 11 years as a couple and for over 25 years individually. Our travel plans usually bring us to town 2-3 times per year and include booking one of the very nice hotels in the area or renting a home over on IOP. This trip we decided to try something different and... More

We loved having the whole third floor! Cordes gave us a tour of the second floor, where she resides; told us the history of house and her family. The house has been in Cordes family for 100 years. It is truly a special place. We sat and ate breakfast overlooking the Cooper River. The fridge is stocked each day and... More

Perfect. The location couldn’t be more ideal. Walking distance to the historical mansions, waterfront, restaurants, etc.. Plenty of hustle and bustle in the street for great photos. It’s a frequent stop for tours so you’re in photos too. I left my car parked the whole time and rented a bike taxi when I knew I’d be carrying additional packages. This... More

I realize that I am in the minority here but we were really disappointed in this B&B. It's true the view was stunning, as was the piazza, but "Bed and Breakfast" is a misnomer. The breakfast consisted of small boxes of Froot Loops and Frosted Flakes, some sort of Costco-looking coffee cake (i.e. not homemade), Red Delicious apples and brown... More

It goes to show that you can't please all the people all the time, but based on all of our other reviews, it shows that we go to great lengths to try!! We appreciate the comments of the reviewer and are sorry that our breakfast items did not meet her expectations. Our web site clearly states that we provide a... More

We stayed an extra night (3 nights) at Zero Water Street just so we didn't feel shorted. It really is like living on the waterfront with a million dollar view of Charleston Harbor. You get the entire third floor of a 1830's home on the Battery. Quiet, clean, and a healthy dose of Southern charm. The porch is awesome. We... More

We had a wonderful 20 year anniversary trip at Zero Water Street. The location is the best in the city- We parked our car in the free off street parking area and never used it again until we left four days later. Since we are usually big breakfast eaters we were initially concerned about the breakfast but it was delicious... More

My wife and I recently spent five days at Zero Water Street and we had an exceptional experience. The accommodations located in an historic ante bellum mansion were breathtaking. A beautifully decorated apartment consisting of a hallway, living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen comprises the entire top floor of the home. As magnificent as the furnishings are, however, is the... More

We spent three nights here for our 13th anniversary. The views are beyond description. Elegant home and wonderful hosts. Jim and Cordes are what you expect when you visit this part of the country, charming and gracious. Loved it. Jim and Linda Munro Korner Kottage Bed & Breakfast Suttons Bay, MI
