My girlfriend chose this inn for us. I couldn't have been happier Michael checked us in and was so helpful.. Throughout our stay he , and another associate.. Also named mike were very helpful. Restaurant suggestions, plantations to visit, walking tours. Everything they suggested was wonderful We had a delightful room in the carriage house. Breakfast was served outside, and... More

At first, things were looking dismal; we couldn't find parking and the stairs to the Guest House were so steep. However, we were able to park in front to unload and the parking area is only steps away from the back of the House, which isn't so steep. The place is beautiful! Yes, there are lots of steep stairways, which... More

We originally were booked into the Kings Courtyard Inn right on King St in downtown Charleston. We originally picked it because it was pet friendly, which it was. However the only room they had was up a flight of exterior stairs that the elder of our two greyhounds was unable to manage. The room looked quite nice however. The staff... More

The owner refused to correct an overcharge. The place is dirty with sick animals. The "help" smoke on the so-called "relaxing" porches. Not in a safe neighborhood- across the street is the remains of a burned out theater where weirdos lurk. Wosre it is far from the sites and near laundry mats and pawn shops.

Upon our arrival we were amazed with the ambiance of the house. The outside is very peaceful and the inside is decorated in a Victorian style. The Owner was very nice and extremely helpful. We had a great anniversary stay and can't wait to come back and visit.

This was not a typical B&B experience. My sister and I came to Charleston for a girls trip. We booked a B&B because we like the ‘local perspective’ that you normally get. We stayed for three nights and while we had a great time in Charleston & will come back someday, it most likely will not be to this inn.... More

A VERY BIG dissapointment...Could not accept the dump that was offered and the owner would not refund the charge of $333. Please read all the reviews and you will see how this is a very bad place to stay.... You are greeted with an Office crammed under the stair case with a play pen and a crib with LOTS of... More

My best friend and I had a very nice stay at the Rutledge during our girl's long weekend away. We were in the room just off the lobby and dining room, but noise was not a problem. The beds were comfy, and the private bathroom was spacious. The staff at the B&B were kind, and we quickly felt at home.... More

What a lucky find. I have never been to Charleston before, selected this inn by chance. The house is lovely. Packed with Victorian stuff that must be a nightmare to keep clean but adds to the atmosphere. Breakfast was more than adequate. Lynn and staff very obliging and helpful. I felt that I was being treated as a friend rather... More

WHERE DO I BEGIN??...... the part where the owners got my name totally wrong and werent there to greet me upon check in, the part where the place was crawling with bugs and spiders, the part where my room was about as big as a jail cell, THE PART WHERE SHE ATTEMPTED TO TOW OUR CAR WHEN WE WERE TOLD...
