We had not planned to stay at the King George but due to a booking glitch at our first B&B we were referred there. And it was a real treat. The room was cool with a bathroom behind a hidden door. The location was within walking distance of everything. It was quiet. And the host was from my wife's hometown... more

The location of this Inn is very convenient to the college and historic down town Charleston. We walked to and all around the historic district, leaving the car in their parking lot. We stayed on the 4th floor, the only rooms with a shared bathroom. The room is in great shape, having recently been redecorated. The one issue we had... more

I recently stayed at the King George IV Inn for three nights in October, in Room #2. I enjoyed my stay immensely. While the inn is several blocks north of the main historic district of Charleston, I had no problem navigating the city by foot and hitting all the sights I wanted to experience. The staff at the inn are... more

We just booked a 5 night Christmas stay at the King George IV Inn. The price was very good for Charleston and the location is PERFECT ! I had a long phone chat with both the owners and they sound like lovely people. We travel all over the world for Christmas and only stay at B&B's. This will be the... more

This is a good b & b if you are looking for value and location. It is not as fancy as some of Charleston's other b & b's, nor does it have the antiques and history of many of its competitors, but the rooms are large, the breakfasts sufficient and the staff welcoming and helpful. more

I booked a room with them for my Honeymoon night, as we couldnt make it the whole way to Disney for our actual Honeymoon. It was done online with ease. However, we were then notified by EMAIL that she was unwilling to accomodate us for just one night. Despite my explaination she still refused -- she must be made of... more

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and first time in Charleston. It was a great experience. We were in room #5 and it was very spacious and mad me feel like I stepped back in time. Debbie helped so much by recommending places to see and eat while visiting. The bed was comfortable and the claw... more

My Friend and I stayed at the King George IV for 2 nights at the end of July. Terry was a very hospitable inn keeper. He gave us wonderful advice on where to go and what to do and see while we were in Charleston. We stayed in Room #5 and I was very surprised and how spacious and comfortable... more

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Charleston. Terry and Debra were wonderful hosts and provided us with great food and excellent advice on restaurants and things to do. Room # 6 was surprisingly large and more than comfortable. Parking was a breeze behind the inn, however the car never left the lot due to the central location! The... more

We found the King George to be everything we expected. The Inn is a signiture type building found in Charleston. The rooms are people friendly and comfortable. Even though you are in the middle of Charleston, the benches and seating areas give you the feeling space and relaxation. The breakfast is a good start for your day. You can walk... more
