The King George lV Inn is a beautiful historic building in a very convenient location in downtown Charleston. It is on a side street between the two main streets King St. and Meeting St. and it is an easy walk to shopping, restaurants, and tourist sites. The Inn provides a variety of breakfast items and is offered until 10:30 which... More

We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. The Inn is very close to the main part of town where all the shopping and restaurants are located. The inn itself is an historic single house that is comfy, like staying in the home of a beloved older relative. It's not fancy or deluxe, but clean and cozy. Breakfast is included.... More

Beautiful bed and breakfast right close to everything in Charleston! The staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating and even fixed us our own special organic breakfast! I would recommend this to anyone!

My husband and I were extremely pleased with King George IV Inn- from the moment we drove up the brick-laden driveway right up to the easy check-out. The woman who greeted us and showed us to our room was wonderfully friendly and helpful, there was snacks, coffee, tea, etc available 24 hours a day, and the breakfast had a delicious... More

Nice people, great service, and a Southern Breakfast fit for King George himself.Always had info available as to where to go and what to do.Did I mention breakfast most time is made by Miss Charlene? Miss Charlene is a true Southern Lady always ready to answer questions and help any way she could. Miss Kim, another employee was always friendly.The... More

I'm always amused at reading reviews. Sometimes there's so much divergence in opinions that you wonder if it's the same property, restaurant, or event that people are writing about!. My girlfriend and I just spent a lovely four days at the King George IV Inn, and we couldn't have had a better time. The irony is I don't disagree with... More

We thought we'd do something very special for our 40th anniversary. Ratings for King George IV B&B suggested a special treat. We advised the "Inn keepers", that it was a special stay for us. It was anything but. As mentioned by others, the breakfast room is not what you expect from a traditional B&B. Small, cramped, and buffet style self-serve.... More

I chose this inn because it was the only one I could find with 2 beds in one room. We stayed on the top floor with a shared bathroom which was not a problem. There was a sink in the room. Charlene added so much to the atmosphere and friendliness. The location was great and the free parking was great... More

Have stayed a few times at King George. Cannot beat location and price...can walk to everything in downtown Charleston. However...in rooms close to the road (George St), noise is a problem. We experienced that with our latest visit. We also had a room (2nd floor) with a very small bathroom (a person over 6 ft tall would not fit well... More

We arrived the Saturday after Thanksgiving and squeezed into the parking lot. I enjoy the "small inn" feel - everything is closer to your room. (room 1A) The bed is comfortable, the room is well decorated, and large. My wife felt it lacked a vanity for ladies to sit and get ready for dinner. A little noisy at street level... More
