We stayed in the one bedroom kitchen house which very much exceeded my expectations. Positives: Location is fantastic - we walked everywhere in downtown charleston from here. AC is super powerful!! I loved it Bathroom is spacious True California King Bed Kitchen and living room space is lovely Very soft towels Great outdoor patio area with a fountain for reading... More

We decided to settle on a home instead of paying for an expensive hotel in downtown Charleston. We found this site on vrbo.com. With so many homes to choose from, my sister-in-law told us this was one of the best locations in downtown Charleston. Located right on Church St, 1 block from E. Bay St. Located near the battery, Waterfront... More

This "cottage" is two teeny tiny rooms. The bedroom is upstairs. To get there you walk up a rickety circular staircase which is less than 2 feet wide. My husband, who is 6'2" had a tough time clearing the ceiling and the eve without hitting his head and shoulders simultaneously. But that isn't the worst of it. The bedroom has... More

We had the pleasure of staying in the "kitchen house" a beautiful cozy 2 bedroom well equipped and charmingly furnished little house with a beautiful courtyard in the heart of Charleston There is a wonderful bakery right around the corner that opens at 7 in the morning. Coffee and delicious pastries to start and a glass of wine and appetizers... More

Wonderfully decorated cottage, like stepping back in time but with all the amenities. Location was perfect to access downtown by foot, courtyard was stunning and relaxing. The Middleton's are the most charming hosts! Can't wait to go back!

Love love love this place. Super friendly owners. Great location. Fully stocked kitchen from eggs to wine... the little cottage is prefect for two people and the courtyard is so lovely to sit and enjoy a glass of wine after a walk around the walled city. We will definitely more an effort to come back to this B&B :-)

This was our second stay at Middleton Family Bed & Breakfast, so obviously we liked it enough to return. The first time we stayed in the 2 bedroom house (which I prefer) and this time we stayed in the 1 bedroom. Both houses are old, quirky, charming, but a bit shabby and very dated with furnishings ranging from every decade... More

Perfect location and enchanting courtyard. One car tight driveway makes this a problem when another unknown guest is either in the drive or arrives after you. The hostess said "talk to them and work it out" Apt is about what one would find in the old tourist cottages, the TV was old and small altho it did have cable. Steep,... More

This B&B is nicely located south of Broad. It has a beautiful southern garden complete with fountain in the back. However, that's the end of "southern charm" for this place. The furniture is terribly dated and uncomfortable (masked in historic charm?), the bathrooms are impossible to maneuver around with no place to put a bathroom bag but upon a closed... More

What an adorable place! We stayed in the carriage house and it was simply charming. The courtyard and garden is very private and perfect for relaxing after spending the day in Charleston. One thing you should know before you go is if you stay in the carriage house, you will be making your own breakfast. Everything is provided, you just... More
