There was a mistake with my reservation that was handled poorly. Was planning on romantic get-away in spacious suite only to be disappointed by two seperate beds in a room without view that wasnt what I had booked. There is no better place to stay than the Planters Inn in Charleston. The room is tastefully decorated and large with great views of the surrounding city. It is close to everything you would want to see, including Paula Deans restaurant. Cookie, the housekeeper is a real hoot, very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone going to Charleston. more

My stay at the Planters Inn was great. Right from check in the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was wonderfully decorated and clean. I had a great all around experience and would recommend staying here while in Charleston. more

We had a group of 8 women that stayed at the Planter's Inn, and the hotel catered to all of our needs, from supplying wine glasses and corkscrews to changing our rooms so that they were sdjacent to each other. Antiques abound!! The Staff were friendly and helpful! Our room was spotless and lovely. The antiques that surround you from the moment you walk in the door certainly set the tone for the Historic Charleston visit we were looking for.
