We spent three perfect days at The Vendue. The accommodations were so comfortable, the staff was amazing and I hope that I get back to Charleston again soon to enjoy this wonderful hotel. I'm not sure if the wine and cheese in the afternoon or the milk and cookies in the evening were the "cherry on top" of an incredible... More

If you do not stay in nicer or boutique hotels often, and someone else is handling the bill, you may find The Vendue to be "perfect", "ideal" or other overused Trip Advisor words. Here are a few points that may help you make a decision about this property: 1. I am fortunate enough to stay at nicer places often when... More

Four of us stayed for 3 nights in a very large double Queen room...it even had a fireplace. Pretty bathroom with a big shower and double sinks. I think it was probably the most spacious and nicest room in the hotel. Loved the location! Book in the 19 rooms not the 26 rooms across the street if you want a... More

A charming hotel with a well-trained staff and a superb location makes for a great start. This is a strange physical layout, with roughly half the rooms on the north side of Vendue Range and the other half directly across the street on the south side. (I believe there are a total of 88 rooms, all different sizes.) The room... More

My husband and I are enjoying a perfect vacation at The Vendue! The staff is incredible with Shea, Alex, Allison, Ryan, and Terrel, the stars in this beautiful constellation, the heavenly Vendue! Our dining experience last night in The Drawing Room, there in house restaurant, was sublime. Topping it off was my challenge to Ryan, our waiter, to make a... More

The pricing is a bit much for what you get.. BUT. I will say i love the feel of it as i am very much into history. I feel some people can't appreciate the decor because they want something more modern and in this day and age expect it. The rooms are comfy, a bit small.. but over all very... More

We actually live about 45 mins away and chose the Vendue to spend our anniversary. Great arrival, nice wine with art tour, port in the room, lovely rooftop bar and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine-next morning lovely breakfast in room. Fabulous choice! Staff was excellent!

This is not a luxury hotel, but has the price tag of it. At $400 a night, you can stay in a descent hotel in Times Square, NYC. At Vendue Hotel, the location is great, but the sleep and room qualities are unacceptable. The room was so noisy. The hotel is based on an old building. Most floords are hard... More

You can't beat the location: in the historic district about a block from the water. Gracious welcome. The rooms in the main building are the most expensive. The ones in the annex, though pleasant, are beginning to fray around the edges. The hotel acknowledges this and says a renovation will start in a couple of months. There is a decent... More

Many positives but also several negatives. For the short list of negative features: we stated on the '26' side and the room was very small. My wife found it difficult to create even a small makeup area for her own use each morning. The room's one window faced a small courtyard of utilities. The cab company that was called on... More
