Great location, staff was very friendly and helpful, fun wine and cheese in the afternoon, comfortable room and the biggest plus was the housekeeper. The pillows weren't soft enough for me, so I left a note for the housekeeper and she got feather pillows for us that very morning! Parking was really handy too.

This is a location in the heart of everything. You can walk to the market and since it is on king street, good shopping. They have breakfasts delivered to the room, night time sherry and four poster beds. It is quite romantic and will be a nice location for couples. This is a good pick for the center of town.

I attended the College of Charleston and my parents used to stay here whenever they would visit me. Now I enjoy staying there when I visit with my husband. The location is central to downtown, shopping, restaurants and theaters. You can walk everywhere! They have free parking directly behind the hotel and a super friendly staff. This was a great place to stay for a weekend in Charleston. The concierge service (Tabitha) is incredible along with all the little perks. Great size room - wow if every hotel room in a city could be that big we would bring the child with us on more trips into a city. It was very comfortable and I loved... More

On our recent stay in charleston my wife and I stayed 2 nights at kings courtyard in. The king size mattress we were on was made of stone, I believe. Neither of us slept well and it took both our backs a couple of hours after waking to loosen up (we're only 32 and 24 yrs old). We asked for... More

I was very disappointed to read of your back discomfort due to our beds. During my 35 years in the hotel business, I have learned that a person's bed preference is very personal. When we replaced beds two years ago we guest tested several different beds. The bed we chose is firm but comfortable, so much so that of our... More

This was our first visit to Charleston and Kings Courtyard Inn. Couldn't have asked for anything better! Both were terrific picks and made our vacation even better.

My husband and I spent last weekend at this hotel. It is most definitely run more like a large bed and breakfast than a hotel and is so incredibly welcoming and quiet even though it sits in the middle of Charleston. We arrived early and the front desk said that they would hold our bags until our room was ready... More

The hotel was decked in historic, classic furniture and decoration. Overall I enjoyed the room I stayed in, the bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. The only issue with it was the shower (it was either far to hot or freezing). The TV is really small and dated as well. The staff was very nice but not entirely... More

From the King's Courtyard Inn we walked all around historic downtown Charleston. We were close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel offered a choice of continental breakfast, or breakfast from the menu. Honestly, the continental breakfast was plenty of food, and the coffee was delicious. The concierge advised us about restaurants and about plantation tours and supplied us with a... More

My wife and I wanted to get away for a long weekend and stay in the Historic district of Charleston, and try to keep cost down, but at the same time still have the same experience one would have in one of the more expensive Inns in Charleston, like the French Quarter Inn. After doing a large amount of research... More
