This was a fantastic hotel for our weekend stay. It was one of the least expensive places we found but was full of charm and hospitality! Our room was perfect with a king size bed, well-decorated. The hotel offers free continental breakfast everyday, a hot breakfast is offered for a nominal fee. My husband and I split a 3 egg... More

We chose to stay at the Kings Courtyard Inn because of the location and price. So many of the hotels in downtown Charleston have become obscenely expensive but the rates at the Kings Courtyard were fair enough. The room was fine, but we were really impressed with the location, parking, staff, wine and cheese, and breakfast. I have no doubt... More

The city of Charleston is a real treasure, something for everyone: Wonderful history, museums, shopping, a wonderful Aquarium and terrific restaurants. Charleston is an expensive city and Kings Courtyard Inn is very good value. First it is located in the center of all the activity making the city very walk able. Second, the Inn includes many extras including morning coffee,... More

We were staying in Charleston for just one night and were so happy to stumble upon this Inn. Our room was a vintage beauty, large and clean. The location was great and the complimentary breakfast and drinks were a bonus. My toddler loved throwing pennies into the lovely courtyard fountain just outside our room. We would love to stay here... More

This was our second visit to Kings Courtyard Inn. The first visit (about two years ago) we found it to be funky-charming, this time, dowdy-charming. However, as other reviewers have noted, the location is great, the staff is terrific, and the experience (including the breakfast and wine & cheese) is worth the price. if we ever return to Charleston, it... I spent 2 great nights at this inn. The location can't be beat. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The little "extras" such as wine/cheese in the afternoons and the continental breakfast added to the value. Definitely will be back.

The Kings Courtyard Inn is charming and reminiscent of old time Charles Town. The staff is professional, courteous and efficeint. You couldn't ask for a better location, all the finest Charlestown has to offer is just a short stroll away. I've stayed in many B&Bs, hotels and Inns in Charleston, but all around this is my favorite, and for the... More

We stayed here on a recent trip to Charleston. It was a great location being central to the various restaurants we wanted to visit and places to go. Service from the bellhop, concierge, room service, etc was great - could not ask for anything more. Our room was small which goes with the older hotels. But it was clean and... More

Not the most luxurious, but quite comfortable accommodations with period furnishings in the midst of tourist Charleston. It's just a block from the Market so you can walk to most restaurants and tourist sites. The staff is friendly and helpful. One very nice feature is the parking lot just out the back door, where guest parking is only $12 for... More

This was our first visit to Charleston and we found the hotel was a great base for taking in all the attractions of the historic area. We could walk everwhere and there were plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. Our room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We missed having a bar in the hotel but... More
