We stayed in a courtyard view room with king bed. No kids on this trip. Smaller room, but 10 foot ceilings, nice furnishings, hardwood floors, comfortable bed, nice linens, good pillows and plenty of hot water. The best part was the complimentary breakfast delivered to your room in the morning after filling out an order form the night before and... More

I frequently travel to Charleston and have stayed at this hotel . The thought of staying anywhere else never crosses my mind. They have friendly staff, there's a wine and cheese tasting every weekday from 5 - 7, and their restaurant is great.

After many years of visiting Charleston, we have stayed at many places. My husband and I make this trip annually for my birthday and have finally found the place to come back to every year. It has a special charm that captures the feel of old Charleston! The rooms were beautifully decorated with a historical feel but with all the... More

This was a great hotel, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the location was perfect! The room was also lovely, we really enjoyed the fireplace. The breakfast was delicious and we had a great time at the evening reception!

My wife and I stayed here on Christmas Eve, Christmas day and the day after. On this trip we were traveling with our two small yorkies and this is one of eight within the historic section of Charleston that offers a limited number of pet friendly rooms. The hotel is very quaint and charming with a very historic look and... More

Not only is the inn very nice, it's also in the most convenient spot to walk from. There is a parking lot behind the inn that doesn't charge extra each time you take your car. The breakfasts were too good--a lot of calories. There is a healthy breakfast offered, but how often do travelers turn down home made pastries? Our... More

I stayed at the Kings Courtyard Inn this November and travelled with friends who stayed as well. My room was beautiful - on the first floor with double doors opening to a private courtyard. The room was immaculate and had a working fireplace which was wonderful. The bath was small but very clean and well appointed. The furnishings were beautiful... More

This hote was in a wonderful location and had excellent friendly staff. The parking garage was being repaved causing parking difficulties but the staffed handled the problems very well

I frequent the Charleston area often and I am often asked for hotel suggestions in the area. I ALWAYS recommend the Kings Courtyard. Here are the reasons: 1. The rate changes with the seasons, but it is consitently lower than the other inns. We usually stay at the Inn for around $100. To stay at the Holiday Inn... you'll pay... More

By far one of the more civilized inns in which I've stayed. Perfectly situated between shopping and historical homes, we stayed only one night but it was a wonderful, relaxing time. From the hospitality (and sherry!) offered up at check-in to the friendly advice on the "goings on" in the immediate area, suggestions for dining, breakfast (included), complimentary wine and...
