Though called an inn, the feel is motel despite better furnishings, a comfy bed, and a very good shower-including rain shower. Our room had a window facing a very narrow alley and into the windows of the restaurant kitchen next door. Rather depressing. Breakfast was poor. The bagels must have been frozen, the muffin mediocre, and the choices unappealing. The... More

We appreciate you honesty regarding your stay with us. I’m sorry that the property did not meet your expectations, we understand that sometimes we are not the right product for every person visiting Charleston. The Inn is a historic building sandwiched between two fine dining restaurants, combined with the close proximity to all buildings in downtown Charleston, which can cause... More

The location cant be beat. Hotel is a bit run down. Rooms are tiny and loud. You can hear when your upstairs neighbor whispers. If your lucky (saracstic) you can have a room that overlooks husk restaurant kitchen and you can hear the kitchen workers from your room. All in all for more than $200 I would NOT stay here... More

We came to Charleston during peek season (tourist and wedding) so all of the hotels were a bit pricy. I reserved a queen room for my boyfriends birthday, where we spent a Saturday and Sunday night. The hotel - I selected Elliott House because it wasn't quite a B&B but had that feeling. Some of the B&B's seem just a... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent stay with others at The Elliott House Inn. I believe that you hit the nail on the head when you said that were like a hybrid between a bed and breakfast and a hotel. My husband and I recently spent 4 nights here and were happy with our choice. I wasn't looking for a big impersonal hotel in Charleston-wanted something in a good location for a good price and got what I was looking for. The location was perfect. The price was fair for the city. After walking around the historic district all day... More

Okay, here's what to know: - location great for walking Charleston, which is the best way to see and understand Charleston - courtyard rooms are relatively quiet - it's a nice hotel but don't expect "Four Seasons" bells and whistles. The decor is Southern charming without being creepy. - they do an excellent job of cleaning the rooms every day.... More

My husband and I were lucky to get a room here in April when town was full for the big bridge race. We came for our wedding anniversary and to visit our son (who happens to be a chef right next door at the renowned Husk!) - what a great location tucked away in the middle of all the hustle... More

We’re quite luck to have some of the best restaurants in the city (and USA) right outside our door! I’m even happier to read how nice you thought the hotel was and the amenities we offered.... More
