My wife and I stayed for two nights in August. The B&B is quaint, reasonably priced, and had comfortable amenities. The breakfasts were very good. Complimentary wine and snacks in the afternoon was a nice tough. The rooms are comfortable and the Ashley has off-street parking, which is very important in Charleston. It is centrally located and only a few... More

Located within walking distance of the riverfront and lots of good restaurants. It was over 90 degrees when we were there, but in a little cooler weather, the walk would be easier. It was fun to walk by all the old homes. It's great they have a parking area in such a busy part of the city and the wine... More

Wonderful breakfasts. Helpful staff. Nice room with flat screen TV. Elegant house, circa 1832, well restored with modern amenities. Free parking onsite. Decent location in historic downtown. Great value for the money.

We are four mature women friends who took a trip to Charleston to drink in the history and charm of the city. I booked Ashley Inn because they offered accommodations that slept four and allowed us our privacy apart from the main house. I will admit that upon our arrival to Charleston and drove to the area that Ashley Inn... More

We are so happy to have added to your " girl trip " to Charleston! It is always fun to get together with friends and our Carriage House is just perfect for that! I do apologize for the toilet seat debacle. It is one thing I overlooked in repairing before you arrived. Again our houses are historic and sometimes due... More

I absolutely love this Bed and Breakfast. If I ever have to stay in Charleston again, this will definitely be my first choice to look for a room. It's beautiful, historic, quiet, soooo comfy, and the breakfast was delicious. I loved everything about my room, #4. The staff is really nice and the people I met and ate breakfast with... More

This place is nice, the staff are friendly enough, but be aware it's over a mile from the downtown/tourist area. They'll make sure to let you know it's "in town," "on the peninsula," and "in Charleston," but they'll leave out the distance from the primary sites a first-timer wants to see. I don't mind the walking, but that's a lot... More

After bypassing Charleston for the last 25 years on our way to and from Hilton Head Island, we decided last minute that this was our year to see Charleston. Our stay was short - just 48 hours - not nearly enough time to sample all the amazing restaurants on King Street. Our choices for lodging were limited due to the... More

Pleasant inn, rooms could be upgraded, bed was not very comfortable, bathroom was small and rather neglected. Towels were not changed even when left on the floor as requested by the sign in the bathroom when we wanted clean towels. Breakfasts were very good and the staff was friendly, however requests for missing items were not always met.

My mother and I stayed at the Inn for three nights and we were sad leaving a place that had started to feel like home. You get a key to the house and to your room and after a day it starts to feel like you're at your own house. There's a shared fridge where there is always fresh ice... More

This was a getaway celebrating our grandson's graduation and it certainly was special! The staff was helpful from the time of booking to our checkout. Their recommendations for tours and restaurants were excellent and the Carriage House was perfect. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely recommend the Ashley Inn for a Charleston vacation. Pat & Garry
