Charleston ended up being a pit stop while traveling from the Mid-Atlantic to Florida and what a perfect pit stop it was. The Ashely Inn made our visit that much more enjoyable. The house and gardens had all the charm I expected. Modern renovations don't take away it's historic details. The inn keepers were as pleasant as could be. The... More

Located in one of Charleston's historic neighborhoods this Inn is within easy walking distance to many activities. We parked our car at the Inn and walked everywhere during our visit. The Inn is well maintained and clean, the grounds beautiful and the staff was very gracious and accommodating. Nice breakfast each day and the afternoon social hour a plus with... More

We stayed in the Ashely inn a couple weeks back in the carriage house. We found the main home to be beautiful and historic. Staff was friendly. The wine and homemade chocolate in the afternoon was really nice! Breakfast was good but nothing remarkable. Unfortunately we have a few negatives. The most disappointing thing was the toilet paper and cleanness.... More

Thank you for your comments…..we take all of our guests comments seriously. We certainly appreciated your favorable comments and wanted to respond to the others. As you are aware the Ashley Inn was built in 1832 before bathrooms and plumbing was installed. The plumbing that is current in the house has be updated from it’s original installation but has numbers... More

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful house and rooms. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The staff was excellent, very fun to talk to and they gave great recommendations of places to go eat and check out. Great location, many places in walking distance. We'd stay here in a heart beat again!

We enjoyed our stay the Ashley Inn B&B. We had an upstairs room that had access to the outside porch with rocking chairs- a pleasant place to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon. It was a little noisy with traffic from the hospital nearby, but we didn't mind. Breakfast was terrific. We rented a car, and the location... More

My wife and I enjoy visiting new places, exploring and finding out what there is to see. The Ashley fit our needs perfectly. The innkeepers and their staff were gracious, hospitable and knowledgable about things to see and do in Charleston. The breakfasts were superb, and the afternoon wine/tea and refreshments made for a chance to pause before dinner, and... More

We have just come back from a weekend visit to Charleston and stayed at the Ashley Inn. It is a charming B&B. Our room was lovely and opened on to what is called a piazza in Charleston and what I would call a covered porch. The innkeepers are very helpful and cooperative. And the evening wine-and-cheese was just delightful. But... More

Stayed for 3 nights in January for a cousin getaway / reunion, and was thoroughly pleased with the Ashley Inn. We were in the room on the top floor and found the room to be spacious and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower definitely left something to be desired, but that was the only negative in a long list... More

Had a student from the Charleston Culinary School cook full breakfast every morning (excellent). 5 -7pm was wine, crackers and cheese. Sharing conversation with other guests morning and evening was the highlight of our trip to Charleston. Our TV was broken and they must have known it before we checked in since it was unplugged and unattached to the cable.... More

We had two nights at the Inn in the carriage house and it was very comfortable for two and would have been the same for four. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and the owner was brimming with history. Not to mislead, the owner was not there at all times. It was nice to share stories with other... More
