Here's the gracious living one hopes for in a great Southern town like Charleston. The 19th C Inn captures the feeling with this lovely restored home in an area away from the tourist-packed center. We took the Inn's bicycles out for a tour of the residential streets and down to the Battery on Charleston's waterfront. Two wonderful meals were enjoyed... More

We stayed at the Ashley Inn the last weekend of March. It was a very nice stay. The reason we decided on the Ashley was mainly based on price, full breakfast, free parking, and TA reviews. We were in room 5, which is on the west side of the residence. It was fairly quiet, except for the air ambulance as... More

The Ashley Inn was my first experience staying at a B&B, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but my husband and I had a pleasant stay there. The inn is in a more residential area, near the medical district, so it was very quiet except for the rare helicopter that I guess was going to/from the hospital. The... More

Thank You for the nice review! I am sorry to read you weren't fond of our breakfasts! The southern breakfast with the Charleston pimento cheese and bacon scrambled eggs, crispy grit cake and homemade biscuit is usually a guest favorite. Had you eaten breakfast on Wednesday you would have been able to have the peaches and cream crepes! I do... More

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the afternoon wine and cheese on the veranda after a day of touring. Great breakfast to start the day. The local restaraunts were excellent.

Spent just one night. Had a lovely room with door out to upstairs piazza. Wonderful to settle into a rocking chair after a long day of travel. Wine and appetizers set out in the evening. Nice breakfast in AM. Was nice to be able to park off of the street.

What made this inn different from others I've stayed in was the service. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and ask about our needs. The only staff member I have criticism for was Mother Nature. There were some weird brown stuff falling on the cars in the parking lot. It made a huge mess!

My wife and I stayed at the Ashley Inn as part of a get-away weekend trip to Charleston, our first visit to the area. We had a wonderful time in Charleston, and one reason was the great experience we had at the Ashley Inn. The public spaces at the inn are beautifully decorated and furnished with an eye to detail... Service- Very helpful , extremely polite and attentive. Staff was great about suggesting sights to see or places to eat. We had a lot of questions and they never made us feel like a bother. Value- For a little more than some of the cheaper hotels in the area , you really get a much nicer experience. I'm sure there... More

The Ashley Inn is a great getaway destination for Charleston. Walking distance to three great restaurants and their breakfast was above delicious. The staff was very accommodating and the owner stopped in each morning to greet us at breakfast and share the rich history of the city. We will certainly make this our first choice for our next Charleston vacation.

We were on our way to Myrtle Beach, SC after spending the winter in Florida to watch our granddaughter and her college softball team for a week and wanted to visit Charleston on our way since we had never been there. In doing some internet research on places to stay in Charleston we discovered the Ashley Inn B&B and if... More
