We recently spent one night in Charleston. This motel was just fine. It was clean, the staff was courteous but the location was FANTASTIC. If you are looking for a reasonable rate and are willing to make do with the basics...go there. We will go back.

Rooms were perfectly nice, and the location is GREAT for the price. Most of the other hotels in the area are much more expensive, and if your goal is see Charleston (rather than have a very nice hotel room), this is the place to go. The woman at the front desk was very nice, and we ended up staying an... More

DH (dear husband) and I spent two nights here, 02/12 and 02/13/2010. My expectations were exceeded. Price includes parking, a big plus in this section of town. Many excellent eateries and historic sites within walking distance. The front desk personnel were great. Room clean and well kept. It is a good idea to park your car and leave it that... More

The location of this hotel was amazing. It was a short walk to market street and just about everything else. Great restaurants on East Bay (like SNOB and Magnolia's) are only about a 10 minute walk. Jestine's kitchen is also a short walk away. Once we parked at this hotel (parking is free), we didn't use our car again. This... More

My wife and I booked the Days Inn after getting a reccomendation from one of my coworkers. I haven't stayed in a Days Inn in about 30 years and was skeptical but upon arriving at the Inn, the service and room won us over. When we reached the office, the ladies greeted us quickly and offered us a Manager's special... More

Yes, its the location! The room is clean, small and spartan. A sliver of soap and some plastic cups. Small fridge, as I recall. Besides location, the fact that it takes dogs is a major advantage. Problem being that they therefore place you in a "smoking" room and you remain well aware of that fact. Plenty of interesting small restaurants... More

Everyone seems to agree that this Days Inn has a terrific location, but opinions about the rooms are all over the map. We found it to be more than acceptable during our four-night stay. Sure, the rooms could use updating. I suppose we could mention the rusty hinges on the bathroom door (it squeaked), the loose base plate on the... More

As soon as I got out of the car, which just so happened to be directly in front of the check-in area, the air reaked of port-o-john; it was pretty awful. The staff did not give me a copy of my bill/receipt upon checkout. I forgot to ask yet they did not offer. I may have slept better in my... More

Awesome location, awful hotel. Where to begin? With the rampant palmetto bugs? The terrible shower, which consistently turned from warm to freezing cold? The dirty coffee maker, which could be plugged in only by unplugging either the TV or the refrigerator? The lack of towel bars or hooks in the vanity area? The tilted amenity shelf, from which the shampoos... More

I have been on furlough for a week this past week, so we decided to visit friends in Savannah. With horrible floods at home in Atlanta, we decided to drive up to Charleston. Wanting to save a few bucks, we booked at the Days. We called direct and got a very good rate of $89/night, less than the AAA rate... More
