We'd had a bad experience the previous night so cancelled the second night and came here: very glad we did. Our room was good and everything worked OK. The Wifi was excellent, which was such a relief after the night before. No breakfast but we carry the fixings anyway and, if you don't, there's the restaurant on the premises. We... More

The good: There is an outdoor pool. The property is located in the middle of the historic district. If you are interested in the Civil War stuff, history in general, the market, or the aquarium, this hotel is centrally located. Very convenient to the cruise terminal and Port of Charleston. Great shopping in walking distance. There are many great restaurants... More

I spoke with a gentleman at the front desk who was very nice and helpful . There was a female named Tasha however that was extremely rude on multiple occasions . She asked if I had the "right one" when I checked in and took her a moment to actually find my reservation . When I called for towels she... More

The Charleston Days Inn Historic District is a fine hotel choice for a stay in the heart of historic Charleston. Don't come here expecting a 5 star hotel....it is, however, a fantastic choice for its price and location. It was clean and comfortable with a very accommodating staff, at a third or less of the price of similarly located hotels.... More

Only feet away from Market St. Some great places to eat close by. The pool was small but very clean and was a plus since most hotels in the historic district don't have a pool. No charge on site parking was also great.

I stayed for 2 nights & the location is GREAT. You can walk to everything. However, the room was dingy, carpet was ripped & coming away from wall in many places. The room connected to next room (locked on my side) but person in the adjacent room was violently banging on the door at 1:00 a.m. Location is awesome, but... More

I booked and then read the reviews and was frightened at what I was going to find. The front desk staff (especially Ms. D) was the best. Because of her hospitality and the great location, I would stay again. From the outside it looks very quaint and inviting but the overall condition of the facility and the rooms cleanliness were... Room was clean enough. Layout out dated, bathrooms clean but, poor drainage. Water from sink was alwas hot. NO CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST OR LOBBY COFFEE. Room had Microwave, tube tv, fridge, 2 cup coffee maker. A bit noisy on the weekend. Pool looked murky. Bare necessities for overnight stays.

We stayed at the Days Inn for 2 nights in July. The motel is run down and our room had a musty smell. Unfortunately when we returned back to our room at 6pm, on our second day, the sheets had been taken off the 2 beds in our room, and nothing else. When we told reception they asked if we... More

We read the reviews before we booked. We knew what we were getting into, but I would not stay here again. The location is simply perfect. The staff was a mix of good and bad, but the room was just bad. My husband ushered out no less than 10 bugs including 5 caterpillars! I expected the furniture would be out... More
